Donald Nye
Knight of The Month
Another individual who is the hub of the wheel for the council, and silently performs his job is the Membership Director. He is appointed by the officers and Grand Knight of the council and collaborates with all the council leaders in setting and obtaining the membership goals of the council. He works directly in the soliciting of new members for the council, qualifying them, and in setting the stage of getting them on board with an application, Form 100. After qualifying the candidates, he introduces them to the membership for acceptance. Once the new member is accepted, he attends all the degree ceremonies and works with the K of C Insurance Field agent in the introduction of the insurance programs.
While it may appear, his work is complete after obtaining a new member, it is his responsibility to meet the council’s objective of Star Council, 6 new members for Star Council. He heads the Admission Committee, Retention Committee, and Insurance Programs, and coordinates the Recruiting and Qualifying Programs of all new members.
Donald C. Nye, Our Membership Director, has been a Knight since 2007, and Charter Member for our council, sponsored by Stephen Landkamer. He has progressed to a 4th Degree Knight in 2009. Through his 10 plus years of service, he would dedicate his services to the council activities and one who you could trust to lend a helping hand when necessary. His greatest achievement would be in serving as the Membership Director, and in leading the way with new members last year for the council to receive the “Double Star” Council Award for his efforts. This years he has already accomplished the council’s goal in obtaining 6 new members, and in setting the stage for the council to receive “Star Council Award” again this year. It is my pleasure and complement to present the April 2018 Knight of the Month award to Donald C. Nye and to thank him for his commitment in service to our Council.
Tom Golden
Robert (Tom) Golden has been a Knights since December 3, 2007, a Charter member of St. Anna’s Council sponsored by Ed Barefood, former Grand Knight. He like most of us, who joined the Knights, became active immediately, seeing the opportunity to grow within the leadership of the council. He served as the Inside Guard beginning on July 1, 2009 for a two-year period before taking the role as Treasurer till the current date. In 2013, he served as the Church Director helping to establish the format of council activities in support of St. Anna’s. As the Treasurer, it is Tom’s responsibility to keep accurate records of all the financial activities of the council and he is the only person who can initiate a check for all the council’s activities requiring his signature and the Grand Knight. He is the recipient of all income for the council and manages/audits the bank statements for both the checking and saving. His position monitors the annual budget and works together with the Financial Secretary in assuring each month’s entries are correct matching the accounting and bank records. While Tom appears to be silent in his interactions, I can assure you all pennies are accounted for, and the time spend in his record keeping are endless. Tom is a 3rd degree Knight and is very active in the council’s activities, and you will always see him assisting, and working in all the events of the council. He has provided a historical reference for what has gone on before; providing for a seamless operational proficiency of financial record keeping. He constantly demonstrates the attributes of the “joyful giver” while delivering on tasks that are sometimes unglamorous and underappreciated. Tom, has been a mainstay for St. Anna’s Council for over a ten year period. Today, Tom is very active in church fraternal activities and is the Go-To individual for the maintenance of the church. In recognition of his service, dedication and commitment to the council, and especially in the council’s Treasurer leadership positions, l am please to recognize Tom Golden as the Knight of the Month for February 2018.
Patrick Mc Donald

Greg Hennigan
Greg Hennigan has been in the Knights of Columbus since October 10, 2010, having received his third degree in March of this year. He has registered for the upcoming 4th Degree. He has been a valuable member of the council and in support of the parish. He is very proud to be a Knight wearing his Knight Shirt for everyone attending church, as a Greeter at the masses. Greg Exemplifies himself in many ways, servicing the Knights as a new Director of Community Activities. While this volunteering, at first, questioned his interest to interact in this position, once he fully understood what was required, he began to look at the community more in depth in determining how best for the Knights to serve.
Today, Greg is leading the way for a new annualized Knight function “Animals in the Kingdom”, organizing a new strategy for The Monroe Christmas Parade, School Spirit Funding activities and in support of FISH to mention a few. He is very active during the planning meeting, and membership meeting offering his input to challenge other members involvement.
He believes “In a Service to One, and Service to all”, a long-time tradition of practicing charity in a spirit of unity. He has given of his time in the servicing of Widows and Seniors of St. Anna’s. Through his innovation, he is in the developmental stage of many programs involving the Knights for the interactivity within the community to include veteran’s groups. Greg’s vision for the Knights are like his beliefs, Church, Community, Council, Culture of Life, Family, and Youth. Greg is a great father to his son, setting a good example for him to follow.
Greg is not afraid to stand up for his beliefs, and is servicing our council in so many ways. You will always see Greg in attendance and inter-activity at all the Knights events. He is always willing to help in all areas, to include cooking, selling tickets, committees, etc., and assisting where required.
Greg servers as an example of what a Knight should be. Many thanks for his extra efforts, and it is my pleasure to present to you this “Knight of the Month Award” which is well deserved.
Cameron Jones
Knight of the Month – March 2015 – Cameron Jones
Cameron Jones is a relatively new member of our Knights of Columbus Council, having received his First Degree in October, 2013. In the time since he has shown himself to be a valuable member of our organization and our Parish.
Cameron has been working full time to earn money for his college education. Even with that load he has found time to teach Religious Education for our Parish children and, at the same time, be Youth Director for our Council. He has been providing a valuable service in both regards.
In addition to the above and as his work schedule will allow, he has been fully engaged with the activities of our Council. Most recently, he worked at the Parish Lenten Fish Fry and at our Council’s annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. At the latter event, he took responsibility for insuring that our music was working properly to support our Irish dancers and to keep our guests entertained. He simultaneously and effectively tended our beverage station and even kept our guests smiling even though we prematurely ran out of beer and wine.
Though Cameron will be missed, I am pleased to announce that Cameron has been accepted to Belmont Abbey College, Belmont, N.C. for this upcoming Fall semester and has been granted the highest level of scholarship that the institution has to offer. We wish him every success and look forward to seeing him during his breaks from class.
Cameron’s contributions to our organization and our Parish are truly inspirational.
Robert Costantino, Grand Knight, Council 14425
Don Williams
Don Williams has been a faithful, resourceful, effective and creative member of St. Anna’s Council, 14425. During the 2013-2014 Fraternal Year he served a Deputy Grand Knight insuring that the operation of the Council continued without interruption during the absence of the Grand Knight. During that period, and continuing into the 2014-15 Fraternal Year, Brother Don also served the Council as our Service Program Director.
In this latter capacity, Don has shown a high degree of creativity and fortitude in enhancing or developing programs for the benefit of our Faith Community and our Council. He has also been strategic in driving, managing and recruiting support for several of the programs. Most notable have been: the improvements in quality of our St. Patrick’s Day Celebration, making it a recurring favorite of the Parish. The Family Night and tailgate party with the Gwinnett Braves that has continued to grow in popularity with each offering. He has managed and organized the Knights Bar-B-Q cooking support to raise funds to send St. Anna’s Youth members to their annual Nicaragua mission ministry. His presence has been felt in many other activities as well. With all of these he has solicited the support and contributions of his fellow Knights to deliver high quality events.
Don’s efforts, skills and coordination have enabled the Knights to elevate the level and sense of community within the St. Anna’s Parish and to raise funds to support our Knight’s charities. Don has been, and continues to be, a valuable asset to our Council.
Robert Costantino, Grand Knight, Council 14425
Bob Gaubert
Bob Gaubert has been a mainstay for St. Anna’s Council for as long as I have been a member. He has provided a historical reference for what has gone on before; providing for a seamless operational proficiency with each subsequent team of Council officers and providing a consistent voice of reason during our deliberations. For the last three (3) years he has served in the capacity of Financial Secretary for the Council; effectively maintaining all financial and membership records, collecting and receiving all monies from various sources including annual dues and expeditiously submitting all membership transactions to the Supreme Council.
In addition, Bob has provided invaluable counsel to our Grand Knights, including me, and provided creative recommendations and solutions leading to growth and proficiency within the Council and St. Anna’s Parish. Case in point, Bob was the driving force in initiating and developing the quality web site enjoyed by St. Anna’s Parish & Council today. In addition, he has initiated constructive conversation with the Archdiocese for support of the infrastructure for our new church and finding creative solutions for driving fund-raisers for the benefit of the Council and our Parish. Bob has been, and continues to be, a valuable asset to both our Council and our Parish.

Father Daniel Toof
Re: Certificate of Appreciation
As officers and members of the Knights of Columbus, we all have a role in the development and implementation of on-going successful programs for our council. St. Anna’s Council has been recognized for many years for its performance in meeting the mission and goals of the Knights of Columbus. The results of our efforts are displayed by the plaques on the wall. It takes a team to make it happen, and we complement individual Knights for their exemplary contributions; but we have failed and overlooked an individual whose contributions have gone without recognition for many years, although he is dedicated, and a performer who attends the vast- majority of our meetings as his schedule permits.
He is the Spiritual Director, officer and Chaplin for our council. He has consistently sets the moral compass for our spirituality and moral interactions. Father Dan, a Charter Member of this council, Honorary Life Time member (10 plus years in this council) and 4th Degree Knight has contributed greatly to the prestige of this council. He is the hub of the wheel which makes it happen. His message and prayers consistently express the basic spirituality of his thoughts in guiding the council’s religious beliefs for the good of the council. This cannot be supplied by any lay member. He leads us in prayer at the beginning of the meetings, setting the stage for organizational importance, and his “Chaplain’s Message” is one of the guiding highlights at each meeting.
On behalf of all the officers and members of St. Anna’s Council #14425, I present to you this “Certificate of Appreciation” for your priestly dedication as our Chaplin, and officer for your dedicated service, as a fellow Brother Knight. Your spiritual faith guidance has impressed upon us the true meaning of God, and the direction of the council.
Thank you, Father Dan for your contributions and dedication to the Knights of Columbus Council #14425 at St. Anna’s.

Robert Costantino
St. Anna’s Council 14425 expresses its appreciation to Bob Costantino, his wife and family for their continuing contributions to our Council and to our Faith Community.
Bob has consistently demonstrated Unity and Fraternity, two of the principles of our Order, in his actions and volunteerism. He is always one of the first to volunteer to represent our Knights at all Knights events, and one you can count on to be there in representation. He and his family, sons who are also Knights, want to be part of the Council’s brotherhood in so many ways, especially in working with their father and other brother Knights. It is indeed a pleasure to see this family together, their children and grandchildren. Sally, the heart of the family has always been there for the Knights especially as active members of the Ladies of the Knights. She shared with Bob, an endless time and efforts in representing the Knights.
Brother Bob has St. Anna’s church at heart, having served on the Parish Council, Capital Campaign, CHRP, Mass Ministry and Lecturer to mention a few. His past Grand Knight position led the council to a Star Council Award and the Father McGivney and Columbian Leadership Award. Bob promotes Respect for Human Life, Support of Military Personnel, Donations to charities supporting persons for Intellectual disabilities and volunteering in various charitable way of servicing the community, and the church.
Bob and his family have a long record, 50 years of marriage, in raising their family and continue to demonstrate through their love for each other, and respect for others, a model for others to follow. It is indeed a pleasure to present this long overdue “Family of The Month” Award for his inspiration to the Knights and St. Anna’s.
Roger, Liz and Tara Coyne
St. Anna’s Council 14425 expresses its appreciation to Roger Coyne, his wife Liz and their daughter, Tara, for their continuing contributions to our Council and to our Faith Community.
Roger has consistently demonstrated Unity and Fraternity, two of the principles of our Order, in his actions and volunteerism. He is always one of the first to volunteer to represent our Knights by manning our booths for long hours at such functions as the Christmas Craft Bazaar and the Parish Time and Talent Fair. The latter bringing us the largest number of potential new candidates in recent years. He is also one of the first to sign up to sell tickets for our varied events. Roger has also demonstrated his value in Stewardship to his Parish; volunteering to do the more difficult and demanding tasks at events such as the Parish Lenten Fish Fry. He constantly demonstrates the attributes of the “joyful giver” while delivering on tasks that are sometimes unglamorous and underappreciated.
At the same time Liz and Tara have consistently worked in conjunction with their husband and father by supporting the Council, and the Parish, as active members of the Ladies of the Knights. In that capacity, they have engaged in such activities as providing meals in advance of our Monthly Business meetings, assisted the Ladies with creatively formulating ideas and strategies to raise funds for our designated charities, and participated in the operational efforts to bring those ideas to successful fruition.
The Coyne Family is very much valued and appreciated.
Robert Costantino, Grand Knight, Council 14425
Tom and Linda Offutt
Family of the Month
St. Anna’s Council 14425 expresses its appreciation to Tom and Linda Offutt for their contributions to our Council and to our Faith Community.
Shortly after joining the Knights of Columbus in June 2013, Tom accepted the open position of Membership Director. Tom has been diligent in learning the requirements of the position and in putting that information to good use. He has been responsible for shepherding a dozen new members in to our Council; most recently six (6) new members receiving their First and Second degrees and three (3) additional receiving their Second degrees. Tom has become a faithful and effective member of our Council.
During that same period, Linda has been very active in the service of our Council and our Parish community. She was one of the prime movers in starting a ladies support group for our Knights; brings creative ideas for increasing fund-raising activities in support of the Knights charities and in following through with the organization skills and labor to bring them to fruition. She has also been active in supporting our Parish and our Community. She provides accounting services for the weekly collections of our Parish and volunteers her time to working at F.I.S.H (Faith In Serving Humanity). Seeing a need for more social activities specifically for our Knights and their significant others, Tom & Linda have opened their home for social functions.
