YOUTH OF THE YEAR 2019 - 2020

The Rhode Island Knights of Columbus is sponsoring the Youth of the Year award.  The award is to honor a boy or girl (age 10 to 18), in the State of Rhode Island, for their service and/or charitable works in their community.  The winner will receive $500.00 ($250 for the individual and $250 for a charity of their choice) at the Rhode Island State Convention Dinner on Saturday, April 25, 2020.

2020 - 2021 Knights Elementary Scholarship Application Deadline July 15, 2020

Applicant must be the son, daughter, grandson or granddaughter of a member in good standing
of the Third Degree of Knights of Columbus in Rhode Island, or the son, daughter, grandson or
granddaughter of a deceased member of the Knights of Columbus in Rhode Island who was in
good standing of the third degree at the time of his death. If the applicant’s father is eligible to
be a member of the Knights of Columbus, and is not, a grandparent is not eligible to sponsor
the applicant.

Applicant must be attending, or will attend, a Catholic Elementary School for the 2020-2021
school year. Although multiple applications may be sent from the same family, only one award
will be granted to each family per academic year.

RETURN FORMS AND REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

BY Wednesday July 15, 2020. 

(Please note that this is a HARD deadline...no application will be considered if postmarked, or received, after
July 15, 2020. DO NOT send the application via certified mail and/or signature required. The chairman will not go to

the post office to pick up any application packets)

The application package must be complete to be considered for the Book Award. The complete

package must be received, or postmarked, by Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
