Council 8954 will be holding a 1st Degree Ceremony on Monday, Feb. 13th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richardson. The church is located at 600 S. Jupiter Rd., south of Belt Line Rd. The ceremony will be held in the Upper Room which is on the second floor as you come of the Jupiter Rd. entrance.
All candidates and their council members attending are asked to arrive no later than 6:45 pm in order to register and start the ceremony at real 7:30 pm time.
In order for a candidate to be registered, a council member must present a complete First Degree Ceremony Kit to the host council registrar. The kit consist of of the following: completed form 100, KofC Rosary, KofC lapel pin, "These Men They Call Knights" booklet, completed Membership Card. The Candidate's form 100 will be returned to the council officer once registration is complete and the Candidate's council will be responsible for submitting it to the Supreme Council.
Please contact GK Joe Horan and provide the number of candidates and council members that will be attending so as to prepare for the ceremony.
If you have a Catholic friend or family member who might be interested in joining the Knights of Columbus, please invite him to join by contacting your Membership Director and/or Grand Knight to arrange a meeting with him as soon as possible.
