St. Joseph Richardson Council 8954 will be hosting a Major Degree on Sunday, March 16, 2014. First Degree Knights are invited to attend and receive their 2nd and 3rd Degree in the Knights of Columbus.
Candidates and their council brothers will begin the morning by joining us at Mass starting at 7:30 a.m. We will all line up before the start of mass and process in to an assigned seating reserved for the Knights.
Registration will start immediately after mass in the St. Joseph Dining Hall. Breakfast burritos, coffee, orange juice are be served at this time for all attending. Pizza will be served for lunch at the end of the 3rd Degree Ceremony. Burritos and pizza are free for the candidates; all other brothers attending are asked to pay $7.00. Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card..
Candidates will register and provide a current membership card; the same for all other brothers. Councils are ask to provide a 3rd degree medallion for their candidates. If unable, host Council 8954 will have medallions for the candidate; council or candidate will be asked to reimburse 8954 the $5 medallion cost.
The 2nd Degree ceremony will start at approximately 9:15 am. The 3rd Degree ceremony will start after a short period to reset the chamber.
Lunch will start immediately after the end of the 3rd degree
ceremony.
Councils are asked to call GK Rick Bentine (214-729-9976) by the day before the Major Degree with a count of candidates and members that will be attend.
