He is an active member of St. Vincent de Paul and handles the food and collects food for that organization. He is also the assistant head usher at the 5:30 Mass on Saturdays. He fills in at other Masses when needed. Joe can be seen at most of our council meetings and events. He is our Inside Guard for our council and the go-to-guy if we need something done. He is always willing to help with a smile on his face. If we had more like him, we wouldn’t lack a thing.
Richard Douglas
Richard Douglas was selected as Knight of the Month for November. He drove his truck and trailer to North Carolina mountains to pickup the Christmas Trees for our council's annual Christmas tree ales. Richard also showed up everyday during the tree sales transporting the trees back and forth from his home to our tree lot.
He also did the setup each day and provided all the tools necessary to make our tree lot run effectively. Richard spent many cold days to help sell trees and fill in when needed. During all this time he provided fellowship and kept our spirits up with his humor when times were hard.

soldiers from Fort Jackson who couldn't make it home for Christmas.
One day I asked Robert why he was so dedicated. He said he had many members of his family serve and die for our country. While attending a 4th of July Mass at Our Lady of the Hills I found out why.
The Mass was dedicated to the Fallen Members of Brother Knight Robert Denter’s family. During the prayers, Fr. Dave Whitman called out the names of Robert’s brothers and sons who died in the service of our country. They were;
• Corporal Frank Denter
• PFC William Denter
• PFC Harold Denter
• PFC Richard Denter
• PFC Sherman Busse
• SGT William Moss
On this Independence Day, it was very emotional to hear so many names from one family that died during to the service to our country. Even though Robert Denter could not serve himself, he was classified 4F, his family sacrificed more for our country than many of our own families could ever do. Robert is a member of a very patriotic family. What an honor to call Robert “Our Brother”.
