Brief History of Bishop Bernard J. Sheil Assembly #2330

Bishop Bernard J. Sheil Assembly #2330 was established in 1993 as part of the Chicago Archdiocese. The Assembly was formed from various councils, Bishop Boylan Assembly #198, Woodstock, IL, of the Rockford Diocese, and Raymond Hillinger Assembly #1595, Niles, IL, of the Chicago Archdiocese. Nicholas P. Schleich was the first Faithful Navigator of Bishop Sheil Assembly.

 

When Bishop Sheil Assembly was originally chartered by the Supreme Council, New Haven, CT, the Assembly’s membership included: Queen of Peace #3954, Holy Ghost #4977, Hoffman-Schaumburg #6964, St. Marcelline #7694, and St. Peter Damian #8699.

 

In recent years the Assembly has expanded to include: Holy Family #11981, Mary’s Millennium #12801, and Immaculate Mary of St. Ansgar #14435.
