Good afternoon, Worthy Brother Knights:

As we continue to promote our "Leave No Neighbor Behind - Support Your Pastor/Parish Program...", once again, we have been called to deliver our support and services as members of St. Joseph Parish in Largo, MD.

Below is the request from our Associate Chaplain, Deacon Steve Nash to host the "2020 Deacon Convocation on Saturday, October 24"The event will take place at our St. Joseph Parish in Largo, MD.

Though 4 volunteers are needed, I suggest we plan on 10 volunteers (at least) since our Sunday Mass example indicates that kind of number volunteers. I also believe our "Color Corps" can grace this occasion with their presence to boost the occasion. Can we count on our Color Corps? Please advise on this possibility by  6:00 p.m. - Wednesday 10/14/2020.

Thanks for your continued support and kindly inform the GK-Peter, DGK-Harold, or PGKs-Fidelis/Ike if you plan to volunteer for this convocation ceremony. If you ask me, I venture to say "It is an Honor for our Council" to be asked! We cannot disappoint... remember, "...Team effort yields the best results". Vivat Jesus!

Dear Worthy Brother Dr. Peter,

The Deacons of the ADW will hold a convocation on Saturday October 24 from 9am to 1 pm and are requesting help at serving as host for the Mass from 10am-12pm. We are expecting 100 deacons and their wives (100 total).

Archbishop Gregory will be the celebration and guest presenter. Auxiliary Bishops R. Campbell and M. Fisher will attend the Mass as well.

Please, if you could solicit the brothers to see if we can have 4 hosts, that would be great.

Thank you in advance for your help.

In Christ,

Deacon Nash

National Black Catholic Men's (Online) Conference 2020

This year's National Black Catholic Men's Virtual (Online) Conference will be held October 23-25. This year’s virtual conference will be two days with a closing Mass on Sunday. Activities will include keynote speakers, workshops, music, and much, much more. Most importantly, it will have the same message and purpose of uplifting our men of faith in these times of change. We ask you to encourage those you know to register for this year's annual conference and join us.

Please be sure to take advantage of the Early Bird Registration ending on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

We would also like to ask for your support of this conference by purchasing an ad or encouraging those you know who might be interested in the virtual souvenir program.  By doing so, you would be investing in our outreach and leadership development efforts, especially with our youth and young adults.

Please take a moment to visit our website www.bowmanfrancis.org or review the form (below) to determine your level of support. Ads are due no later than Saturday, September 26, 2020.  Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our Public Relations and Marketing Representative, Jesse V.
