Council Requests

From Council #12153
Submitted: July 25, 2026
For: Retreat Attendees - July 17th - 19th

**Prayer Intention**

Please pray for all those who will be attending the Silent Retreat at Montserrat Retreat House on **July 17–19**.

May each retreatant encounter Christ in a deeper and more personal way. May the Holy Spirit quiet every distraction, open every heart, and allow each person to experience the loving presence and touch of God throughout the weekend.

Lord, empty us of anything that keeps us from You. Use us for Your purpose. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit. Guide our thoughts, our words, and our actions. Renew our faith, restore our joy, and rekindle within us an even greater love and excitement for following Christ.

May all who attend return refreshed, strengthened, and transformed, ready to be His hands and feet in the world.

**Amen.**

For: Suzanne (Seguin) Seraine

On June 19, our 43-year old daughter, Suzanne Seraine, told us that she had been having severe migraine headaches, couldn't sleep, couldn't remember how to do routine work tasks on her computer at home, lost her peripheral vision in the left eye, and was unable to remember how to get home in her car. Her doctor scheduled an MRI of her head on June 22. The MRI disclosed a tumor on the right side of the brain which was the size of her fist. A 10-hour surgery was performed at UT Southwest Medical Center in Dallas on July 6. The doctor removed part of her skull for the surgery (replaced with two metal plates) and removed 90% of the non-encapsulated tumor and some parts of her brain which were entangled with tentacles from the tumor. The remaining 10% will be addressed with chemo or radiation teatment. Still waiting on lab reports. She was discharged from the hospital on Sunday, July 12, and was transported via ambulance to an in-patient physical therapy facility in Frisco. Her speech is good and her doctor is impressed with recovery so far but she needs assistance on a walker. Prayers are needed for her complete recovery.
