COUNCIL #10926 - FATHER DICK ALLEN - NEW LENOX REMEMBERS
RUDY WOLF

Rudolph J. Wolf

Age 72, of New Lenox, IL, passed away after a courageous journey with Alzheimer’s at his home on Monday, November 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Rudy was born in Joliet, IL, to the late Joseph and Bertha (née Grayhack) Wolf.

Beloved husband of Mary E. (née Garrett); loving father of Jason (Sylvia) Wolf, Monica (Joseph) Ziems, and Katelyn (Ryan) Carr; adored Papa of Peyton Ziems, Colette Ziems, Owen Carr, and Olivia Carr; and a proud “Papa” to the family’s beloved grand-puppies, who brought him constant joy. Dear brother of Catherine (late Charles) Kramer and Mary Jane Wolf; loved brother-in-law to Kathy (Marc) Szymanski, Gail (late Phil) Bauer, Patty (late Tom) Burke, Joe (Pam) Garrett, and Colleen (Gregg) Ferlin; cherished uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

A devoted craftsman, musician, and Cubs fan, Rudy retired after 40 years of service at Joliet Junior College, where he worked as an electrician and in HVAC maintenance. He was proud to be a member of SEIU Local 1.

A talented guitarist, Rudy loved playing with friends in the band Remembrance and delighted in sharing music at family gatherings. He had a lifelong passion for the Beatles—their songs were among his favorites, and he often played their tunes for family and friends.

Rudy taught us the value of a job well done—whether he was tuning a guitar, rewiring a house, or sanding the final curve of a handmade table. He took pride in the details. He gave his time, talent, and countless handcrafted gifts. We will miss his music, his steady hands, and the way he’d go the extra mile in his yellow Monte Carlo for anyone who called.
