KNIGHTS OF THE MONTH

March 2024

Greg Weatherford

The Knights of Columbus, council 8848, want to recognize to worthy Knights exemplifying the order, St. James, and the local community of Tupelo. For March 2024, we recognize Brother Greg Weatherford. For years of service to the knights, from assisting in the kitchen functions like the Lenten Pasta meals to the knights supporting the parish Sunday morning breakfast. He is the worthy warden. He has also helped with the Nativity Scene and Crosses of the Innocent. A recent assistance was in building a six-foot tall wooden cross for upcoming Good Friday service at the parish.

February 2024

John Lindsey

The Knights of Columbus, council 8848, want to recognize to worthy Knights exemplifying the order, St. James, and the local community of Tupelo. For February 2024, we recognize Brother John Lindsey, the Deputy Grand Knight. In addition to his deputy role, he often leads us in prayer and in Good of the Order edification Programming (at meetings). He has supplied prayer cards, implemented an interest and improvement survey. Additionally, he gives motivation in his sharing his difficulties in life as well that gives fellow Knights a chance to feel brotherly. John is originally from Arizona and found his way to Tupelo and is married to Gayle.
