KNIGHTS OF THE MONTH

November 2025

John Porter

I would like to Nominate Sir Knight /Deacon John Porter for Knight of the month for November 2025. Since Joining the knights John Porter has taken on multiple roles within our council most recently as Deputy Grand Knight for 2024/2025 helping Council #8699 achieve Star Council again. Deacon John has also fulfilled the role as back-up Chaplain on multiple occasions. Furthering his commitment to the Knights of Columbus Deacon John recently went through the exemplification for his 4th Degree Becoming Sir Knight / Deacon / Deputy Grand Knight John Porter and performs outstanding support of Our Council / Our Parish / and Our Faith. It is for these reasons and more I would like to Nominate Deacon John Porter Knight of the Month for November 2025.

October 2025

Paul Sleszynski

Paul has been a Third Degree Knight for Council for less than 1 Year although he and his Family Were previously nominated and received the Family of the Year award from the State Council in 2024. Since joining our council Paul Has volunteered for multiple events including the Following: Monthly Soup Kitchen at Holy Trinity Church St Peter Damian Food Pantry and Holiday meal service to those in need Our first annual Octoberfest Support of the St Josephs Table for our Parish Our Lady of Fatima Candlelight procession Jesus de Nazareno, Candlelight procession Fund Raising for ID Drive, Seminarian Raffle, and more. For these reasons I would Like to nominate Brother Mr. Paul Sleszynski for Knight of the Month for October, 2025

September 2025

Donald Herweg

Although Don Herweg is a new Third Degree Knight, he has exemplified the Spirit of our Knights of Columbus Council #8699. Don has been a key participant in our Charity Fundraisers, Faith Formation as a Leader in the Parish OCIA Adult Religious education program. Brother Herweg Took a leadership role in a Recent Octoberfest Fund Raiser for St. Peter Damian Parish as a dual Role of a Knight of Columbus and the Parish Council. Don has worked selflessly to voluntarily fulfill any needs of the Council he can to support his Brother Knights as well as the Parish and Parishioners. It is for these Reasons that I Nominate Brother Don Herweg for Knight of the Month for September.2025

May 2025

Ken Kaczynski

Ken currently holds the Roll of Financial Secretary for council #8699 and has done so for several years and remained so through Many Officer Terms without hesitation. Ken is a previous Grand Knight and provides guidance and support for all of the Officers in our council as well as managing our Finances computer system and takes a Leadership role in our Exemplifications and acts as Historian for our Council #8699. Kens Leadership and selfless support set a standard for council Officers and New Members alike. For these reasons I nominate Ken for Knight of the Month for May 2025.

April 2025

William Manton

William in his Current Roll as Advocate is the go to for the Council 8699 related to Document and forms submittal, as well as the Lead for supporting ou Life /Charity/Communications / Public relations. Without Williams support council #8699 would not have received multiple awards for Columbia award Star Council, and such. William is the foremost authority in Process' and protocols and ensures meeting etiquite, exemplification Officer Elections and Installations are all aligned with the spirit and Process of the Knights of Columbus councils. For these reasons I would like to Nominate William Manton for Knight of the Month for April 2025

March 2025

Robert Corrado

Robert set the example for his Brother Knights by supporting multiple initiatives up to and including his Leadership as Our Life Director. Robert has developed a relationship with Vitalant (Local Blood Donation organization) to support Quarterly Blood Drives and has coordinated with the organization to Support Our Parish Food Pantry with a $20 donation for each pint of blood during these Drives, which resulted in over $1,000 in 2024 and continuing in 2025. Robert is a former Grand Knight and continues to provide guidance and support to Newer Deputy Grand Knights and Grand Knights as well as continuing to provide insightful Ideas for Fellowship, Brotherhood and Life activities. For this reason, I would like to Nominate Robert for Knight of the Month.
