Our Knight of the Month for November is Mike Ritzi. Mike is the embodiment of the Gentleman-Knight, he is a true Christian in his words and actions. Mike takes his attendance at Church very seriously, making sure his grandchildren attend, too. (One of them, Will, has even become an Altar Server) Mike always prays the Rosary before meetings. Mike is a long-time attendee at the Adult Education group on Sunday mornings and, he works with the Youth on Wednesday nights. His insights and knowledge of the Catholic faith make him an asset to both groups. For years, Mike has been the ‘accountant on-site’ at our Oktoberfest. You don’t see a lot of him, but he keeps our funds in order. He also worked with our Grand Knight on the new Council sign, handling the design (along with Richard Bernabei’s granddaughter) and fabrication. He has been instrumental in supporting our printing needs for many years.

Al's been involved with many aspects of Oktoberfest. He designed the look of the website, the ads that are appearing in the regional papers, the electronic billboard ads that will be displayed at the entrance to Oktoberfest and the flyers. He also took one of the routes to distribute those flyers.

Bill does a great job as the council's recorder and handles the same function for our home association. He is also the head of the Church Finance Council and has taken the lead in running the Coffee & Donuts while Joe Rummel is away. Bill is also the guy that takes care of making sure the Church has its new missalettes in place prior to every Advent.
Susan is active in the St. Alphonsus Choir as well as the First Baptist Choir. She maintains all of the records for St. Al's Choir and creates hand-crafted cards for all occasions for the Choir members. In her spare time, she works at the Cumberland County Playhouse.

- In addition to doing an excellent job as our Council's Recording Secretary over the past few years, Bill has also served as a member of the Financial Council at St. Alphonsus. His wife, Susan has been a long time member of our Church Choir, providing beautiful harmony to many of hymns we know and love. The Family of the Month for Council 8152 are the Peaslee’s, John, Kim, Paige & Matthew. John is tireless in his efforts as Grand Knight of the Council; in November, he worked setting up for the Parish Thanksgiving Dinner, he procured the materials and built a new sign for the entrance to the Council and, for his normal routine, he worked with the Youth Ministry and as a Liturgical Minister at Church. As for Kim, Paige and Matthew, they worked in the kitchen for the Thanksgiving Dinner serving, doing the dishes and cleaning up, along with that, they too, assist at Youth Ministry and in helping Marian with Music Ministry whenever they can. Matthew and Paige are also Liturgical Ministers. Kim, upon hearing about the shortage of supplies for the Jamestown Food Bank, initiated a drive among the personnel at Physician’s Associates to eliminate that shortage. Whenever the Church or Council is in need, the Peaslee’s are always among the first to offer aid.

Kim and their son Matt volunteered and served Arc members at the Arc’s annual picnic as well as cleaning the hall after the program was done.
