Steve is a devout Catholic who supports his family, church community and the Knights of Columbus. There are not enough words to describe Steve’s talents and commitment to our council. Thank you Steve. God bless you and your family.
Michael Shomin
Michael was invaluable in helping the charity golf tournament committee with securing some really terrific golf prizes. He has helped in all the events that he can get to. Since the day he joined our council, he has been as active as he can be within the limits of work. Michael is not retired, still works for a living and still finds time to contribute to the council. He shares his time and talent with council 7850 and St. Elizabeth. He also is a good golfer! He and Greg Rogers put together the winning team at our tournament this year. Thank you for your contributions to another successful event for us this year. God Bless!
Barry Barrera

Barry is a very active member of this council, he exemplifies everything we look for in a knight. He has yet to complete his first year as a Knight, yet he has become an active and vital part of this council. Thank you Barry, for all you do for council 7850.
Ed Wall
Ed is a classic example of what every Knight should try to be. he serves at DAILY mass. He always helps wherever and whenever needed. He re-joined the council and as soon as he could, became a fourth degree Knight. Ed doesn't just talk the talk, he walks the walk. He is a model that we all should aspire to.
Fr. McGivney would be proud of you Ed. I know I am. A note for all of you Knight's that chair events that require cooking. Ed is your man. He can really help you. All you have to do is ask him. God bless you Ed Wall. I'm glad you are part of our council.
Pat McCormick
Pat is our Church Director. He keeps us informed about Brothers who need our prayers with his timely email broadcasts. Watch for this event. Thank you Pat for all you do!
Ed Stankunas
Once again Ed chaired our Tootsie Roll Drive. Because of his expertise in doing this event, we were able to raise over $5200. We pay our state per capita charity assessment with these funds. Ed has done this event for many years and is a valued member of 7850. He has served as Grand Knight, Trustee, and as Faithful Navigator for Assembly 2266. His list of accomplishments and leadership in the Knights is too long to list in this small article. Suffice to say that Ed Stankunas is a Knight's Knight. He always reaches for the next activity, or the next level where he can be of service. His latest project for us is Fisher House. That's a great charity for our wounded vet's families. Thank you Ed for all you have done and will do. You are a great example for all of us in council 7850!
John Carlson and Barry Barrera

John planned the entire menu for the Fall Festival. Under his direction and leadership, we brought the most diverse and delicious food to the parish. Not one single bad thing was mentioned by anyone who ate at this event. John went above and beyond for us. Thank you John.
Barry Barerra
Barry is a relative newcomer to the council. At the Festival, he worked a shift in the cook tent and then went to the children's game area and worked without a break until close. Randy Vickery
Danny’s partner, Randy, who has been accused of sleeping out at the Plano Balloon Festival because he seems to be there all the time, is indispensible. He got the coffee donated, along with a great machine, Cappuccino, and hot chocolate. Randy also does a lot around the church dealing with coffee and beverage machines. Thank you!
Keith Rock
Keith has been a key member of the Burrito Breakfast team ever since Tom Clarke stepped away to chair the new Fall Festival. Keith, along with Bob Causer, has done an incredible job. The food is great, and the attendance continues to grow. Keith is also very active in many other events. Thank you!

Joe Petrie
Joe has chaired the Pancake Breakfast for a long time and his efforts can tend to get lost in the shuffle. Joe keeps an outstanding team and attendance at this breakfast is also growing. He even threw in the ‘pumpkin spice pancake’ treat this month, and what about those secret ingredient potatoes? Thank you!
Tom Clarke, Jr.
Tom has been a constant contributing member of this Council for a long time. This year, Tom was asked to ’think outside the box’ and come up with a new fund raiser to help with the kitchen renovation costs. Even though the financial outcome wasn’t what we all hoped for, Tom pulled together a great team and the parish is already planning for us to really succeed when we do it again next year. Thank you!
John Carlson
John has taken over the job of food director for ou fall food fest. His planning and attention to detail has to be seen to be believed. He has created a feast for those of us who will be luckey enough to attend this event on October 3, 2014. Don Patton
Don Patton, who is a Third Degree Knight, volunteered his services, without being personally asked, to help with the Fourth Degree Assembly 2266 Knights' Annual Garage Sale. Don worked the entire week of the garage sale from morning until evening helping to pick up furniture, picking up and assembling tents, as well as unpacking and selling merchandise. Don didn't ask what needed to be done, he just went ahead and did whatever he thought was necessary. Every Fourth Degree Knight who worked the garage sale commented and took notice of his efforts. Thank you, Don, for a job well done.

Through no small effort he has made this event something the whole community of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton looks forward too. We can all be thankful for his tireless devotion to our council, and our church. God bless you Jim.

If Council 7850 had more new brothers like Greg there would be nothing we couldn't accomplish. As soon as he became a 3rd.Degree member he began helping everywhere. Greg is married and has small children, yet he found the time. He volunteered to be Council Chairman, co-chaired the very successful golf tournament. He is always there to help. New brothers could and should follow such a shining example. Thank you Greg from all your brother Knights in 7850.

John is a Knight we see when his favorite event comes around, and we are glad it his favorite. He runs it so well that every year it is the hit of the spring. Brother Knights show up just to see his smiling face, and enjoy fellowship with our church family just before Lent begins. It is a pleasure to award him Knight of the month for March, and I personally hope he always is there for Mardi Gras. Thank you John.
Keith Rock
Brother Rock answered the call of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parrish, and with the help of a few other Knights performed a great service. Even with a physical problem that would put most people down and out, he got on his knees, and proceded to repair the kneelers in the church, and there are quite a few. Together with the other Knights a great service was complete. Thank you for your service to the church and Knighthood.
Jim Goode
Jim is our Worthy Recorder, Family Chairman, and all around good person. He puts in long hours preparing our monthly meeting minutes, sings in the 10:00 A.M. choir, and the barbershop quartet. He still finds time to help with the Christmas family, breakfast with Santa, free throw contest, plan the family picnic, wives appreciation dinner and anything else the council needs him to do. He is a true asset to this council. Next time you see Jim shake his hand, and tell him job well done. Thank you Jim from Council 7850.
Tom Clarke, Jr.
Tom is our two year trustee, new husband, and yet he still found time to accept the chairmanship of the Tootsie Roll drive and the new pancake breakfast. With the help of several new Knights the two events were well staffed, and went off with few problems, thanks to Tom's leadership. Thank you for a job well done Tom

Edward 'Ed' Slief
Ed is another in the long line of members of 7850 who work behind the scenes, and largely go unnoticed, except by the people they help. Many of the events we as a council do need people to do many jobs, Ed does more than most, from New's Year Eve to Mardi Gras, pancake breakfast, Seton Soles, fish fry, just to name a few. He also makes sure Armand gets to 5:00 P.M. Mass each week. Thanks Ed.

He buys the necessary supplies every month, then is there first thing every third Sunday to make sure everything is prepared and ready before the first Mass is over, and he does all this with a smile, and good cheer. Gene Geller is a great example of how each knight can come to the aid of the council. He took upon himself, with the aid of a few other brothers to remodel, and straighten out room 200 which is the council storage space next to the Love Truck area of the church grounds. If anyone hasn't seen the great work this brother did please stop by and take a look.
