S.K. Very Reverand Paul Moreau
March Knight of the Month
As we reflect on the admirable qualities that define a true Knight, it becomes clear that Fr. Moreau lives the Knightâs values of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity through his exemplary character and humble spirit. His tireless efforts to help those in need and spread love and goodwill are a shining example for us to aspire towards.
Sir Knight, Very Reverend Fr. Paul C. Moreau is awarded March Knight of the Month in recognition of his commitment to instructing and mentoring the men of St. Joseph Catholic Church, and the Athens area, by revitalizing "Man Hour"/Cor.
Having an active, engaged, and responsive group of men in the Church, led each week by our Pastor, or another Priest offers a consistent opportunity for men to gather and learn more about our Catholic faith, while also enjoying fellowship with other Catholic men. That this program so closely aligns with the Knights of Columbus Cor Program, and with Fr. Paul himself being a Sir Knight, brings to the men of the Church a worthy example of what the Knights of Columbus exemplifies when it was conceived of and formed by another Parish Priest. Blessed Fr. Michael McGivney intended Knights of Columbus to be both service oriented toward those in need, and the right arm of our Priests. We want to recognize Fr. Paul Moreau's commitment to Knights of Columbus Council 6514 in helping us to fulfill our mission.
