Bake Jon

Jon Bake is a new member that is involved with activities and projects. He was involved with the food pantry pick up, DePere Christian Outreach, Walk to Mary, Tootsie Roll Drive and other activities. Jon has gotten off on a strong path. We really appreciate his efforts and attitude.

Jim Scharine

Jim regularly volunteers at De Pere Christian Outreach, the free-throw tournament and "The Gathering Place'. It is heart warming to see a brother Knight who regularly gives back to the community. Thank you, Jim, for your time and talents. Your efforts are being recognized. Jim has been a Knight for only several years but is gaining visibility in the Council and Our Lady of Lourdes.

Christian Steire

Chris has directed the Community programs for the Council for several years. During the last year the Council has hosted the Council and State Punt/Pas/Kick competition, the diocese free-throw contest. Chris and his family serve on the Our Lady of Lourdes School Board, Religious education program and contribute to the parish in many other ways.

Kevin makes himself available to his parish and the Knights of Columbus projects. Kevin has loyally helped with cleaning up chairs for refurbishing at Our Lady of Lourdes parish and the De Pere Christian Outreach. Thanks for your help and support

Jeff is a two-year member of the Council. Upon joining the Council, he became active in leadership. Jeff readily commits his time to the St Francis Parish and the Knight Activities at the Parish. Jeff is a good man and Strong Catholic and fine example of a Christian gentleman.

JJ Simpson

JJ Simpson is a regular volunteer for the youth and athletics contests conducted by the K of C. This year he volunteered for four free throw contests. The free throw contests allow almost 1000 De Pere youth to test their free throw skills. JJ fills volunteer slots at four of the sites at our last count. Thank you for the time and coaching skills you bring to the contests.

Brian Pritzl

Brian stepped forward to help with obtaining the use of the De Pere High School stadium for the Wisconsin Punt/Pass and Kick Championship for November 5, 2022. He then established the refreshment counter for the event. Thanks, for the effort and determination to help the State KofC conduct the 2022 State PPK competition.

Phil fills the role of the Council roundtable leadership for the St Mary's site. Phil is the go-to knight for the site, contributing to the Marriage Prayer program and the punt/Pass and Kick program. Thanks, Phil, for your contributions

Jim remains active with the Council. He has readily volunteered for Walk to Mary and Brown County Fair parking to name several projects. Jim held the office of Grand Knight several years ago and continues to help out when possible.

Herb organized the 37th Green Bay Diocesan Clergy Appreciation Night. That banquet is held to honor the priests and sisters in the Diocese for their service. The council also awarded scholarships for two seminarians and one novice. Thank you, Herb.

The Knights of Columbus scan tickets at Lambeau Field before home football games. Bob has volunteered for last four game this year. Bob displays cheerful attitude while scanning tickets during cold games on holidays and into the evening. Bob exemplifies the Knights of Columbus by helping people everyday.

Dale took leadership at OLOL's newest Ecumenical Partnership for Housing (EPH) home. He coordinated the workers who put in over 140 hours of service prepping and painting the house for new guests to move in. Dale also volunteered to become our new Chancellor. He will be coordinating all of the council's charity requests. Congratulations Dale!

Pat Lennon

Pat took leadership of the Festival Brat Fry's this Spring. He coordinates the workers in support of the organizations like the West De Pere Honor Society. Additionally, Pat volunteered to become our new Advocate starting in July. He will fill a much needed role in support of our candidates as they take their degrees. Congratulations Pat!

Steve Cribben

Each year, Steve plays an important part in the Tootsie Roll sale by being the recipient of 50 or so cases of Tootsie Rolls. He also has an important roll in the selection of the funds designated to Syble Hopp, Special Peoples Program and Religious Ed programs that benefit from Tootsie Rolls. When not donating numerous hours to the KC's, Steve is active as an Associate in the Norbertine Order. In his role, Steve leads in participates in the education of future members of the Order. Thanks Steve for your service!

Phil Wittman

Phil has been our Advocate for the past two years. Once again, he put together a large number of Brother Knights to complete their second and third degrees at OLOL in March. Phil is also our Roundtable Coordinator for St. Mary's Church in Ledgeview where he acts as our advocate to support Father Getchel and the parish. Phil will be stepping down from his position this Summer. The council wants to thank him for all the assistance he gave us as part of the Officer's team. Congrats Phil!

Eric LeBrun

Eric has been our Youth Committee leader for a number of years. The responsibility lies on Eric to run a successful program each year through the coordination of several different program chairman. We have one of the most successful youth programs in the diocese and a good amount of credit is due to Eric's leadership. Congrats Eric!

Ron Van Dyck

Ron Van Dyck ran the most successful Knowledge Contest we have had in our council. He was able to engage all of the schools, both Catholic and public, in De Pere. Over 920 tests were graded and awards given out to many of the area's finest students. In addition to the contest, Ron helps out at Lambeau Field almost every game as well as the Resch Center events. Congratulations Ron!

Eugene Coonen

Gene Coonen was instrumental in leading one of our largest turnouts in council Free Throw Contest in our history. Over 800 youth participated in this years events and the De Pere area schools. It takes much coordination and follow through to make this event a success. Congratulations to Gene as our December Knight of the Month!

Brian Pritzl

Brian was instrumental in having the State Punt Pass & Kick event go smoothly. He was able to get access to the press box so that we could announce all of the activities during the football and soccer challenges. Brian is also very active helping out at the Reach Center and Lambeau Field ticket scanning. Congratulations Brian and thanks for all your help!

John and Carol Mueller are willing supporters of the Council through phone calls, mailings, and recruiting. The Muellers are regulars at DePere Christian Outreach, Meals on Wheels and reading to the day school students. Carol and John are daily mass attenders and are active in many other parish activities. We are proud of their contributions to our parish, our community and the Knights of Columbus Council 3955.

John and Lynn Fink display a strong Knight of Columbus family. They often lead the DePere Christian Outreach Saturday Store. They also lead a Packer Tailgate party that raises funds for the school's technology needs. We are proud of their contributions to our parish and the Knights.

Drew has been our Lecturer for the past two years. He always brings an enjoyable meal and a great spirit to our meetings each month. Drew is also involved with the Syble Hopp School and the Miracle League where his son Zach participates in fun baseball games every summer. Jody helps lead the fundraising efforts at Syble Hopp and she and her team put on another great show at this year's major fundraiser. Congrats Drew, Jody and family and thanks for all that you do in our community!

Bob & Ellen Coenen are instrumental in leading our Corporate Communion events. This Fraternal year, we hosted three at St. Mary's , OLOL and St. Francis. They always put together a great event. Bob & Ellen also make sure that if there are leftovers, St. John's Homeless Shelter benefits from the generosity. Congratulations Bob & Ellen!

John Mueller has been the Membership Chairman for our council over the last 30 years. In addition, he has been compiling the history book for the same amount of time. John will be stepping down from the Membership Committee this year. The council is eternally grateful for all of his leadership and unique ability to bring many new members on board. Ryan and Leah, along with their children Micah and Miranda, volunteered their time to walk on October 1st for the 40 Days for Life Prayer Vigil. It was an excellent way to spend some valuable family time. In addition, Ryan and Leah also helped out ticket scanning for the October 9th Packer game. From Christmas Trees to Christian Outreach and beyond, John has always supported our council well. John and Jo Smits also act as Crossing Guards on De Pere's East side with Notre Dame Elementary and Middle, Foxview and Dickinson students. Herb and Barb once again outdid themselves at Clergy Night on April 4th. This event brought Brother Knights and Clergy together for a good meal and great entertainment from the West De Pere Choir and Jazz Band. Our council has hosted this event for 26 years and it would not have grown into the great event it is without the help of Herb, Barb and their family. Congratulations to the Kocken's.
