KNIGHTS OF THE MONTH

December 2022

Greg Wildhaber

Greg has been a very active member of our council since 1989, and his son Luke became a member in 2012. Greg is currently serving as our council Lector. Both Greg is a very active volunteer in the parish, as well as FFA, and county livestock association. He and his wife Caroline are chairpersons for the Yamhill County Fair Youth Livestock Auction. Greg and Caroline also provide all of the wreathes and swags for our annual wreath sale fundraiser. Greg also organizes a crew to clear snow and ice at St. James church before masses.

Miller Mike

Mike has been a member of our council since 1992, and is a past Grand Knight, and current Community activity director, and District Deputy. Mike is active in Saturday morning breakfast for the homeless, visiting homebound parishioners, and brings communion to the homebound. He is active in our council, attends meetings regularly, and volunteers at nearly all council functions. Mike recently served as co-chairman of our annual food booth at Mt. Angel Oktoberfest, our council's largest fundraiser.

Fr. Mike Walker

Fr. Mike has been a knight since 1993. He has worked hard the past 3 years during the pandemic, to setup online webcasts, allowing parishioners to continue to virtually attend mass, and bible teaching sessions, and hearing confessions, while continuing his administrative duties, and visiting the sick. He will soon move to St Cecelia's parish in Beaverton.

Stan Primozich

Stan rejoined the council in 2021. He volunteers on the parish administrative committee, is co-chair of the Friends Of St. James School group, attends council meetings, and regularly volunteers at council functions.

Joe Amerson

Joe has been a member of our council since 1995. He is a very active member of St James parish. He is a member of the parish council, liturgy committee, volunteers as a greeter at masses, on parish maintenance projects, and at the Hope on the Hill food pantry.

Rich Murphy

Rich has been a member of our council since September 9, 2010. He is one of our council's most active members. He is our council membership director. Rich also attends/ volunteers at all council functions, on church and parish school maintenance and improvement projects, attends all council meetings, is an usher at church, and maintains our "Celebration of Life" meditation garden area. He is a key volunteer at the McMinnville Wine and Food Classic, the largest fundraiser for St James school, and our Mt. Angel Oktoberfest food booth, our largest council fundraiser.

Mauricio Duran

Mauricio is our newest council member. He has been a member of our council since October of 2021. He has been regularly attending meetings, and volunteering for nearly all Knights activities since joining the council. He is very enthusiastic about serving the church and community.
