Brian Hilliard
This Knight is one of our newer members, but jumped it to help at events even before becoming a member. He helps at most events and meetings. For these reasons, Brian Hilliard is our June Knight of the Month.
Dave Conrad
This Knight not only donates many of the food products used in our events, but comes in during the evenings every week of our fish fries and makes the crab cakes. Dave Conrad is a valued member and is our May Knight of the Month.
Rick Shown
In addition to his Sacristan duties, this prepped the green beans and other foods every week during our Lenten Fish Fries. He also made all of the crab cakes on several weeks. He always helps where he can. For these reasons, Rick Shown is our April Knight of the Month.
Ray Carr
This Knight helps with nearly every event, even when he's injured. You can't keep him down. He comes to every meeting and jumps in to cook the council meals or whatever else is needed. For these reasons, Ray Carr is our February Knight of the Month!
Marty Mossa
I'm hoping I've inspired him since becoming Grand Knight, but whatever the case may be, this Knight has really jumped in with both feet in the past few years to help with numerous council and parish activities and Officer roles. Although I still have not been able to convince him to be Deputy Grand Knight, nonetheless, he is a valued and extremely appreciated member of this council and due for that recognition. For these reasons, Marty Mossa is our January Knight of the Month!
Tom O'Hara
This Knight is a founding member of the council and its first Grand Knight. Since then, he has worked tireless to grow this council and make it as strong as it is today. He is at nearly every event and meeting and holds multiple council leadership positions. This past month, specifically, he was the first to respond when I needed assistance for events and coverage where I was unable to be there myself. For these reasons, Tom O’Hara is our December Knight of the Month.
Rick Moorman
This Knight comes to nearly every meeting and event. He also come to this hall on his own time to set up tables and chairs for any of our meetings and events, by himself. He faithfully cuts the grass for the parish and jumps in anywhere else he is asked. For these reasons and for being a humble member of this parish & council, Rick Moorman is our November Knight of the Month.
Todd Englund
As of late, this Knight has come to help at nearly every event. He was the first to sho at the recent flea market and is always happy to help. For these reasons, Todd Englund is our October Knight of the Month!
Albert Debelius
This Knight shows up for most events eager to help. Even though he may move a little slower than most, he comes to pitch in wherever he can. For this reason, Al xxx is our September Knight of the Month.
Philip Vancamp
This Knight has been our worthy recorder for several years now, as well as helped with many bingos. When we needed extra help with the parish bingo last month, he rearranged his vacation to be able to help. He is also responsible for many behind the scenes duties to help this council run smoothly. For these reasons, Philip VanCamp is our August Knight of the Month.
Jerry Wodarczyk
This Knights come to every single event and is a staple in our kitchen. He make sure we have a meal after every meeting even if he have to round something up from the freezer. He is always around to help with anything needed. For these reasons, Jerry Wodarczyk is our Knight of the Month for July!
Lenny Bayer

George Mushayama
This Knight has jumped in at every possible opportunity he could to help the council both as a volunteer and financially. He is at every mass, sometimes more than one, where he works as an Usher. For these reasons, George Mushayama is our May Knight of the Month.
Michael Kahl
This Knight works tirelessly to organize and run many of our most profitable events! He makes sure every penny is recorded and that our largest events are fiscally sound. For his continued dedication to the council, Make Kahl is our April Knight of the Month!
John Lombardi
This Knight is a fairly new member of our council, but immediately volunteered to help where he could. When the opportunity to run a program came open, he didn’t hesitate to take charge. For the past year, he has been our Life program director and has kept this council apprised of all matters related to the Sanctity of Life. For these reasons, John Lombardi is our Knight of the Month for March.
Gary Thurman
This Knight has long embodied the precepts of the Knights of Columbus with his volunteer work and commitment to the parish for years. He took that volunteerism one step further this past month, by volunteering to train to lead this council. For these reasons, Gary Thurman is our Knight of the Month.
Carl McKenzie
This selection for Knight of the Month is long overdo. He is always available for any any job asked of him, to include running the serving line or kitchen. He is at nearly every event working tireless and without complaint, serving this council and community. For these reasons, Carl McKenzie is our January Knight of the Month.
Doug Campbell
This Knight comes to nearly every meeting and many events to help. He also arranged our council retreat to the Baltimore Basilica and conducted our tour. He is a fairly new member to our council, but has shown his dedication to this council and parish. For these reasons, Douglas Campbell is our December Knight of the Month.
Martin Mossa
Our self-titled Chancellor for Life, Marty has been an active member of this council for many years and volunteers for nearly all events. As Chancellor, he continually keeps tabs on the health of our members and usually knows when a member is in distress before I do. For these reasons, Marty Mossa is our Knight of the Month for November.
George Kasch
George has served as this council's recorder for numerous years and has assisted with nearly every event. He has been the primary fish frier for all all of the Lenten Fish Fry's and puts in numerous hours during those events. For these reasons George Kasch is our Knight of the Month for October.
Matthew Crouch
Matt has been our dedicated and worthy Financial Secretary for the past 13 years and our worthy Lecturer for at least the past 5 years. He is at every event in some capacity and always keeps this council on good standing with Supreme. For these reasons, Matthew Crouch is our Knight of the Month for September.
Gerald Sokolis
Gerry has only been with the council for about a year. However, in that year he has been to nearly every meeting and event, despite having health issues. He is always willing to lend a hand where needed. For these reasons, Gerry Sokolis is our Knight of the Month for August!
James Jozwiak
Jim volunteers at all Bingo's and most events. He is an usher at the 9 am mass and assists whenever needed. He is also responsible for coordinating and putting on a highly successful Polish Dinner & Dance that raised money for this parish. For these reasons, Jim Jozwiak is our Knight of the Month for July!
Richard Moorman
Rick is a constant fixture at OLQP and most Knights events. He cuts the grass for the parish and always steps into to help even without being asked. Since he’s been helping for so long, he can fill in at any job in the kitchen or at an event and is an asset to this council. For these reasons, Rick Moorman is our June Knight of the Month!
Vincent Bands
Vince is a recent member to our council, but has jumped in with both feet. He volunteers for nearly every event and was instrumental in making the inaugural free throw challenge a success. He kept score for nearly 50 kids that put up almost 700 shots. Vince clearly enjoys volunteering and that was on display as he made that event fun for the kids. For these reasons, Vince Bands is our Knight of the Month for May!
Tom O'Hara

Hank Pokigo
This Knight continues his dedicated work in the Parish being on many church committees as a trusted advisor, ushering, video streaming guru, working all events, council parliamentarian (at least I call him that) and as a generally knowledgeable member of our council and their rules. For these reasons and his continued dedication to our council, Hank Pokigo is our March Knight of the Month.
Robert Griffin
Rob works behind the scenes to make sure everything in the hall and parish are set and ready to go. If we have events, he makes sure the tables and chairs are exactly as they should be. He is at all major parish and council events to make sure we have everything we need to be successful. Fore these reasons, he is our February Knight of the Month.
Stephen Ryan
When I became Grand Knight, I approached Steve to take on the responsibility of Family program manager. Although reluctant, since taking on that role, he has jumped in with both feet. He has brought back, planned, organized and executed the Soccer Challenge program and the Basketball Shootout program in February. For his renewed dedication to our council, he is our January Knight of the Month!
Richard Shown
In recent years, This Knight has jumped in to assist in numerous parish and council events. He volunteers as lector, Eucharistic Minister, Cantor and Sacristan, while still managing to volunteer for most of our council events. He is my Worthy Deputy and, God willing, upcoming Grand Knight. Rick Shown is our Knight of the Month for December!
Raymond Bularz
Ray is at nearly every council meeting, mass and council event. He is always happy to be there and happy to help in any area asked of him. He is our unofficial 'coffee man' since no one can make like he does! For his continued dedication to our council and our parish, Ray Bularz is the Knight of the Month for November!
Jerry Wodarczyk
Jerry can be seen at the fryers in the Kitchen during nearly all events. He prepares the meals for our council meeting nights. He cuts the parish grass during the summer. Additionally, he is always on hand to usher at the 9 am weekly mass. For his continued commitment and enthusiasm to this council and this parish, Jerry is our October Knight of the Month!
Raymond Carr
Ray Carr is at all events working the kitchen either as a grunt or manning the stoves. He never leaves until the clean-up is done. He is one of those Knights that you can depend on being there from start to finish. In addition, he also lends his services as Usher at mass. For his dependability to our council, he is our September Knight of the Month!
Michael Kahl
Since becoming GK, I have worked closely with Mike and witnessed the hundreds of hours he puts into our council, mostly behind the scenes. He makes sure every penny is recorded and that our largest events are fiscally sound. For his continued dedication to the council, he is our August Knight of the Month!
Lenny Bayer
For his excellent leadership during the pandemic, Brother Bayer is the ideal choice for our fist Knight of the Month!
Oguezuonu Family
Mary Rose sings in our choir, assists our Music Director and leads a daily rosary after 9am Mass. She prays on Sunday morning the Novena of our Lady Perpetual Help. Her daughter is also a choir member and an altar server.
Boeren Family
Al has been teaching 8th grade religious ed for many years. He also teaches the Confirmation Classes and has also conducted the Worthy of the Call training for several years. This is the Archdiocese of Baltimore Child Protection program for 14-18 year olds, and is mandatory for youth volunteering in the Archdiocese. Albert is also an EM. His son, Andrew, was a student aide in Religious Ed for four years before college & an alter server. His daughter, Angela, was also Religious Ed Aide and alter server. Finally, Albert & Lisa were responsible for the production of Godspell from start to finish.
McKenzie Family
Carl and Karen and pillars of the OLQP parish community. Karen is an active member of the Sodality and makes numerous dishes for our Knights of Columbus events. Carl works nearly every Knight event and is our resident shrimp steamer.
Wodarczyk Family
This father and daughter team work tireless to help this parish, the Knights and the sodality. He is at almost every event and prepares nearly all meals for our council. He also ushers at nearly every 9AM mass. She is an active member of the ladies sodality and not only assists with their events, but also helps at Knights events. She also works at the parish daycare.
Griffin Family
Our Lady Queen of Peace was blessed when this family joined our parish during the Spring of 2016. Between stepping in to fill a void in our music department for the 4pm and 1115pm masses, Rob can often be seen doing maintenance, general handiwork, and general upkeep on the parish grounds every day. He is always here. His wife can be seen assisting at major parish events, as well as an active member of the Ladies Sodality. Their sons Nick and Chris are always available to step in and alter serve at several masses, including Christmas, and the Easter Vigil.
The Gallagher Family
The Gallaghers help at nearly all events for the past five years, either for setup or traffic control. They clean the gardens and assists with whatever is needed. At the Parish Crab Feast, Rob & Pauline worked selling raffles and their son, Alex, was a crab runner and assisted with the clean-up. Rob is also a greeter and usher at the 9 am Mass.
The Mossa Family
The Mossa’s volunteer numerous hours and talents to our Parish community. They continually support all Knight and Parish functions from set-up to final clean-up. Lisa is a regular Lector and Marty is a regular Eucharistic Minister at the 4pm mass.
The Thurman Family
Both Gary and his wife Cathy continued to support at all Knight And Parish functions from set-up to final clean-up. Cathy prepares her special coleslaw for many functions we hold especially for the 7-week period, every Friday, during the Lenten season fish fries. They also always help the food service at our events.
The Kasch Family
George and Lynne Kasch are a stabilizing force in our Parish community. George lectors with a clear and warm voice, serves the Altar in various ways and his contagious smile and warm welcoming personality is an ambassador to many a newcomer. Also, he’s an admirable Easter Bunny and RCIA instructor. Lynne has been seen at almost every function, bake sales, fish fries, high tea, not to mention Easter and Christmas events. Her work with the Sodality is inspiring.
The VanCamp Family
Philip and Audrey are and have been the volunteer coordinators and organizers for the St. Vincent Villa fundraisers held throughout year at OLQP. St. Vincent's Villa, located in Timonium, is a Catholic Charity and offers residential treatment and diagnostic services for children with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges. As co-coordinators, the VanCamp's are solely responsible for the Easter, Summer, Back to School and Christmas fundraisers for St Vincent's. They advertise the event in the bulletins, prepare pulpit announcements, prepare all necessary materials and tags, collect the donations from the parishioners and finally deliver the gifts to the Villa for distribution to the children. In addition, they are both active in serving at 4pm Mass; Audrey serves as an Extraordinary Minister and Philip serves as a Lector. Philip is also an active member in the Pope John Paul the Great Council of the Knights of Columbus here at the Parish and is currently the Council's Recorder.
The Moorman Family
This family assisted at nearly all parish events, either in person or by providing one of the dishes or desserts. They coordinate a large conference each year for the parish and can usually be seen cutting the parish grass during the summer.
The Shadarach Family
This family is the epitome of what this award was designed to represent. Mom, Dad and daughter all serve as managers of parish programs and teachers.
