Basil Orciga

Basil serves as an altar server at the weekday Mass, he assists with the church maintenance as well as with the grounds up keep. He is always helping at the church and is active in the Council.

Ivol Sexton

SK Ivol Sexton is a Knight who has no bounds. His desire and ability to be involved is an understatement. He volunteers many hours to the Church, community and the Council. He helps and participates in almost ever Ministry in the Church and is tireless in his dedication to the Council. Brother Ivol is a PGK and brings much experience to the Council.

John Burke

SK John came to us from St. John's Council a short time ago and has been busy ever since. Not only has he stepped in to help with repairs to the Church doing various handyman type work, but volunteered to be the Council's Recorder for the new fraternal year. It's a pleasure to have someone like Brother John in the Council and is a great example of a Knight! Congratulations Brother John - Well Deserved!

Mars Marcelo

SK Mars is a Knight who is enthusiastic in keeping the Council strong. He is a key player who always steps forward to provide assistance not only to the Council and Church, but to the community. He is a Lecturer at Church and helps wherever help is needed. Truly an asset to the Council

SK Salvadore Costa

Br. Sal has been an active member in the Council, volunteering in every program the Council is involved in and recently volunteered to become the new Council Treasurer for the new Fraternal Year!

SK Milton Archila

SK Milton is an all-around Brother who gets involved with every aspect of the Council, Church and community. He attained his 4th Degree in less than 2 years and volunteered to step in as Chancellor mid-year when the Council Chancellor stepped up to be the DGK. It is a pleasure to have some young Knights getting involved in Council activities.

SK Christian Brousseau

Enough can't be said about Brother SK Christian. Active in every aspect and then some. He was not only Knight of the Month, but Knight of the Year and truly deserving of both titles. His dedication to the Church and the followings of the Church is nothing short of spectacular. Truly a stand-out Brother!

Sexton Family

SK Ivol and his wife Amy truly live up to the spirit and intent of service to others. Both are active members of the Church in various Ministries and provide much of their personal time helping others. They set a positive example of what our Lord, Jesus Christ, wants each of us to do.

Camano Family

Br. Santiago (Jojo) is the Council's choice! Still active duty Navy, Jojo and his family are very active in the Church and Council. He is the Parish Advocate for people with disabilities (as is his wife), a Lector and Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist (as is his wife). His wife is the Sacramental Preparation Coordinator, Small Christian Community Coordinator, Pastoral Advocacy Coordinator, and Altar Server Coordinator. His daughter is a choir member/cantor, violinist, Life Teen Core member, Altar Server and Lector; and his son is a choir member/cantor, Life Teen Core member (trained "peer buddy"), Catechist and Altar Server. All this and Br. Jojo volunteered to be this year's Culture of Life Chairman after joining the Knights on May 18, 2016. A family truly deserving of this honor as Family of the Month!

Mr. & Mrs. Angel Rivera

Although, not a Council member yet, Angel and his family are the perfect candidate for Family of the Month. They are members of the St. Luke Hispanic Ministry and have been for many years. Angel is one of the strong supporters of the Hispanic Ministry and coordinates the Lector Ministry, and is a lector himself as well as a Catechist, Fellowship volunteer, and the overall co-coordinator for the entire Hispanic Ministry. Marta is the coordinator for the Hispanic Choir. They are both very compassionate. They voluntarily care for a young man from Honduras who is paralyzed from a robbery, they coordinate and clean the Church on a weekly basis, and they feed the homeless at Judeo-Christian Outreach Center in Virginia Beach. Truly a family deserving of this recognition!

May 2016

SK Mars Marcelo

SK Mars (as we all know him) is a Knight who has no bounds. His energetic spirit and continued support for everything the Council does is far and above. He gets excited about things, in a great way, and is at every event. He is a Lector at St. Luke Church and his wife Mary is an Extra-Ordinary Eucharistic Minister. Mary is also an active member of the St. Luke's Women Club and the Ladies Auxiliary. Both are part of the early morning Filipino group that attends Mass every morning. Their children are all adults and are also active in St. Luke's activities, as are their grandchildren such as the Annual Picnic, Lenten Services, etc. A family that stays involved in all facets of life and live it to the fullest in Christ. They are well deserving of this honor and it is my great honor as Grand Knight to submit them for it!

SK Deacon Kevin Trail

Deacon Kevin and his wife Patty are endless in their dedication to God. They spend hours and hours of service to the Church, the Community and the Knights of Columbus, even though they both serve in different parishes. Patty coordinates all the ministries at St. Luke's, serves as a Eucharistic Minister, and coordinates all functions that are held at the parish. She also helps the Knights of Columbus by printing our monthly newsletter. Deacon Kevin, although assigned to a different parish stays active with Council 13784 at St. Luke's and attends all functions that are held for the Knights unless his assigned parish has something going on at the same time.

SK Stephen

Brother Toby (as we call him) and family are a very strong part of the Council, Church and community. Each year the entire family plunges in the Polar Plunge raising money for Special Olympics. They are active mentors and leaders for the Life Teen Group as well as any event the Church or Council conducts. Brother Toby coordinated and participated in the youth Soccer Challenge and the Basketball Free Throw for the last 3 years. As the the Program Coordinator for the Council, he never misses a meeting and always is prepared to report on all activities and programs. Brother Toby's wife and children are Eucharistic Ministers and Ushers, respectively at St. Luke's Church. Brother Toby and family's efforts are truly fantastic and greatly deserve the title of Family of the Month for February 2016!

SK Anacleto M Magsombol & Family

SK "Lito" Magsombol and wife Bene are very active in the Church, community and our Council. He is a member of our First Degree Team as the Grand Knight, and is always an active member in all Council activities. Br. Lito and his wife are leaders of the Church Eucharistic Adoration, as well as being involved and providing strong support for all other programs and groups at St. Luke's Parish. Br. Lito is the Business Manager for the Parish. As busy as they are with the Church and our Council, they still find time to help in the community by taking part in food distribution to immigrant communities miles away from the Church. Their devotion to GOD, the Church, Council and community are outstanding and deserve such recognition as Family of the Month for January 2016!
