John Paxton
This Knight recently took the lead on a very large project for a local parishioner of our church. The parishioner this Knight identified regularly uses a wheelchair and access to her house was becoming increasingly difficult to enter. This Knight organized workdays to build this parishioner a wheelchair ramp. This project took a lot of preparation from strategically planning out the project, applying for permits, finding funding, recruiting volunteers, battling the weather forecast, gathering several thousand pounds of materials and several long days and hours to build this wheelchair ramp. Due to this Knights lead, Mary Causey now has a wonderful ramp to allow her to access her home more easily. I'm proud to announce the March Knight of the Month to John Paxton.

I’m honored to present the December Knight of the month to none other than Dan Medina.

Richter Family
This past month this particular family helped participate and lead in Adopt a Highway. This family showed up not once, not twice, not three times. but four times to get the job done while navigating the weather each day. What a wonderful example of perseverance and leadership. I'd like to acknowledge this month's Family of the Month to Paul and Jane Richter.
Holtel Family
This family has been very helpful around the church and participating in Knight and Columbiette activities. They help to serve at socials, preparing food and always willing to find a solution to any problem. The Knight of this family also is stepping in to serve as our Columbus Hope Coordinator. This family recently took the lead on running the 1st Annual Transfiguration Knights of Columbus Car Show in Blythewood. There is a lot which goes on at these events, often behind the scenes which make a Car show such as the one we had run successfully. There is a lot of coordination, planning, phone calls, advertisement, etc. which typically takes a lot of preparation including predicting the weather. At this time, I would like to thank both Dan and Natalie Holtel for helping to take the lead and getting us everything we needed to make our 1st Car Show a success.
Mulero Family
This family has a long history with Transfiguration. Their children have grown up in our parish, their children have been very active in the church and the parents have served as ushers among many duties. However, this family took on a new and interesting challenge this past month during the month of lent. They revived the Lenten Fish Fry since COVID shut everything down. While it was not a full Lenten Fish Fry, it was a start and one they felt moved to ensure happened. Not only did they revive the Fish Fry, they also happened to do it on their anniversary. What a true giving testament to this family and a true sacrifice. I would like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate our Family of the Month for April, Joe and Brenda Mulero.

This family always participates in church, Knight and Columbiette activities. They are heavily involved in fundraisers for Knights and Columbiettes. This knight always steps up and servers the council and the church in many ways, his wife also tags along to make sure that he is doing it right. They are a wonderful example of what good Catholic Christians should be. This family also does not like recognition for the wonderful contributions that they do, but we are going to recognize them anyways. While some individuals may take a vacation or enjoy retirement, this family helps to take their grandchildren to school and bring them home from Catholic School every day! This family also helps to volunteer their time at St. Patrick’s Cemetery every 3rd Saturday of the month to make it a place we may want to be buried ourselves as the closest Catholic Cemetery to us here at Transfiguration. The impact that this family has on their parishioners, community, friends and loved ones is extraordinary. This family lives the Catholic Faith day in and day out and I’m proud to be able to call them my family. It is my great pleasure to announce this month’s Family of the Month award to Bob and Marian Wagner.
