Angel Flores
This month, we are proud to recognize Angel Flores, one of our newest — and youngest —
Knights.
Angel truly hit the ground running after joining the Order. In a short amount of time, he has
stepped forward not only within the Knights, but also in service to our parish by volunteering as
a new Eucharistic Minister.
He has consistently made himself available for both church and council activities, volunteering at
Autumnfest, the Christmas Bazaar, and several of our monthly cookouts. Angel’s willingness
to serve, especially as a new Knight, speaks volumes about his character and his commitment to
faith, service, and fraternity.
Angel is a great example of the next generation of Knights, and we are grateful for his
enthusiasm, dedication, and readiness to help wherever he’s needed. Please join me in
congratulating Angel Flores, our Knight of the Month
Cliff Dunn
Cliff did an outstanding job leading our Coats for Kids fundraiser this year.
He coordinated every part of the campaign—preparing bulletin announcements, staffing the tables in the narthex, setting up cantor announcements at Mass including he and Randy Koslovski making
announcements. He also handled the delivery arrangements with MetroCrest. And thanks to his
idea to use printed donation envelopes, it was much easier for parishioners to contribute.
On top of all that, Cliff has stepped up to help Jim co-chair our blood drive program.
Cliff, thank you for your initiative and your commitment. Congratulations on being our Knight
of the Month.
Jim Marks & John Stewart and Special Recognition: Mike McCormick
This month, we have the honor of recognizing not one, but two Knights as our Knights of the Month: Sir Knights John Stewart and Jim Marks.
We’ve just wrapped up a record-breaking golf tournament—a tremendous success. While we often joke that the event runs itself, we all know the immense time and effort that go into making such an event successful.
These two gentlemen played a major role in not only organizing but ensuring the tournament’s success. While John and Jim would be the first to credit the team and everyone involved, it’s important to note that this achievement wouldn’t have been possible without their leadership and dedication.
Congratulations to Sir Knights John Stewart and Jim Marks! Your hard work and commitment are truly appreciated.
Additionally Special Recognition goes to Mike McCormick.
Our Pitmaster, Mike McCormick, along with the incredible smoking team, took our golf
tournament to the next level with their unforgettable chopped brisket. And just one week later, they were back at it again, smoking pork butts for Autumnfest.
Mike, your time, your expertise, and your generosity have fed both our stomachs and our spirits. As a small token of our appreciation, we present you with this Gladiator Series 12” brisket carving knife.
Thank you, Mike!
John Sullivan
Our Knight of the Month is SK John (Sully) Sullivan. Sully did an outstanding job leading the cooking team for our recent exemplification dinner—He even made his own spaghetti sauce from scratch!
He stepped up in a big way at our first cookout of the year, helping feed our youth and their families. And if that wasn’t enough, he was right back at it Sunday evening—playing guitar and singing with the choir at the 5pm Youth Mass.
Sully’s a great example of a Knight who serves with his talents and his time.
Steve Babick
We are very fortunate to have such a high-profile member in Mayor Steve Babick.
He has been instrumental in aligning our council’s efforts with the City of Carrollton’s available programs, such as home repair grants for those in need. Steve played a key role in coordinating logistics for our garage sale, and most recently, he has brought our council exposure to the community for sponsorships of our golf tournament.
His dedication, leadership, and community connections continue to elevate the impact of our council. We are proud to recognize Mayor Steve Babick as our Knight of the Month.
Karl Ninh
Karl joined our Council just this past December, and he wasted no time getting involved!
In just a few short months, Karl has embraced Knighthood! He has already become a Fourth Degree Knight, showing his commitment to the Order. And he has also volunteered his time to serve on the Golf Tournament Committee, helping make one of our major events a success. He has also gotten involved in several church ministries including our Armed Response Team and recently was commissioned as a Eucharistic Minister.
Karl’s dedication and willingness to serve in so many ways make him a true example of what it means to be a Knight.
Keith Usey
This month, we are proud to honor our Family Director, Keith Usey, as our Knight of the Month. Keith did a great job coordinating and hosting our recent family outing to see the Rough Riders. The event was a huge success, with everyone having a fantastic time. It was such a hit that we’ve already committed to attending again next year!
Bob Bacon
This month, we recognize a Brother Knight who has gone above and beyond in service to our Council. He has done an outstanding job managing and regularly updating our Council website, ensuring our members stay informed and connected.
He currently serves as our Inside Guard and has accepted the responsibility of serving as Warden in the upcoming fraternal year.
He did an incredible job planning and executing our recent garage sale fundraiser. He dedicated significant time and energy not only to organizing and preparing the event but also worked every single day from start to finish. His leadership, dedication, and hard work were instrumental to the success of the garage sale — we truly could not have done it without him.
Congratulations to the “Baconator”
Mike Sackley
Mike has demonstrated being a Knight of action. He recently led the 40 cans for 40 days campaign, works Saturdays in the food pantry, answers the SVdP phone calls and attends many of the council's events. His work is much appreciated.

Enrique is the Knight of the Month for second time this fraternal year. He participates in many Knights functions, leads the annual AutumnFest festival and as Membership Director has achieved 200% of the new member goal for the 2nd year in a row.
Mike McCormick
This is Mike's second Knight of the month award this fraternal year. He recently led the brisket & pork BBQ including spending a Saturday driving to east Texas to pick up wood, clean up the area around the smoker that transformed a mess to tidy space on top of planning and overseeing the smoking. He took on co-leadership of the new COR initiative to grow Knight's faith and this past weekend completed exemplification for 4th Degree. Congratulations to Sir Knight Mike McCormick.
Mark Himes
Mark is involved in nearly all aspects of the council. He is dedicated and skilled as the council Treasurer, leads the Scholarship committee, very active in Joe Catholic/COR, leads the parish Armed Response Team, lector and Eucharist Minister. He often volunteers to lead prayers at meetings and supports faith formation with brother Knights.
Mike McCormick
Mike was the lead for the 1st Smoke Turkey Sale completed by the council. Pit Master Mike led the planning and smoking of 66 turkeys purchased by parishioners for their Thanksgiving celebration. The event raised nearly $3,000 and the turkeys were enjoyed by many.
Kevin Burgess
Kevin just became a Knight last month and quickly volunteered to support parish needs. He jumped in with completing the ramp repairs for the St. Vincent DePaul food bank, cleaned up and removed debris behind the garage, and repaired multiple issues of young woman's car who was spending nearly $1,000 on Uber rides to her multiple jobs. Very well done.

He has served as Past Grand Knight, completed multiple terms as District Deputy, and currently serves as Faithful Navigator for our Assembly. His dedication also includes service as Faithful Purser, Faithful Controller, and as an active member of the Color Corps, where he serves as Faithful Captain.
Beyond leadership roles, Terry is always at work behind the scenes. He coordinates hunting and fishing trips, oversees church repairs, and is deeply involved in 4th Degree activities, including Wreaths Across America, flag interment ceremonies, steak nights, and support of the American Legion. Many of us also know and enjoy Terry for sharing his musical talent by playing the accordion, adding fellowship and joy to our gatherings.
Supporting Terry every step of the way is his wife, Marilyn, who works tirelessly behind the scenes with encouragement, guidance, and service. As a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Marilyn supports Terry and our Knights’ activities, and she also serves the wider community through meal distribution to the needy at Metrocrest.

The Andre Sutiono Family
This month, we are proud to recognize the Andre Sutiono Family as our Family of the Month.
Many of you may have seen Andre and his daughters at the 11:00 AM Sunday Mass, where they serve as the talented violinists who enrich our liturgy with beautiful music. A few weeks ago, visiting Father Alfonse from Mary Immaculate Parish took a moment to acknowledge them during Mass. He asked each daughter why she volunteers and serves. Their answers were simple yet deeply moving:
“Because my father asked me to.”
“To praise the Lord.”
“To do God’s will.”
What a beautiful testament to a family's shared faith and dedication.
Brother Knight Andre Sutiono exemplifies the spirit of service within our parish and serves as a spiritual leader in his home. His commitment, and the example he sets for his daughters, truly embodies the values we strive to uphold.
Congratulations to the Sutiono Family—your witness is an inspiration to us all!
