KNIGHTS OF THE MONTH

August 2017

Chris Kupish

Chis is our August Knight of the Month. Chris is a long time member of our council and helps out when asked to do so. Chris recently gave of his time and talents, to install (free of charge) a new garage door at the parish rectory. This is another example of the love our Knights have for our priest and parish. Thank You Chris.

July 2017

Chris Bivens

Congratulations Chris Bivens , our July Knight of the Month. Chis is our KC Insurance Field Agent and has got involved with several of our council events over the last year. His latest "helping Hand" was at Mt. Zion Blue Ribbon in our food tent. He worked several shifts and was a big help. Thank you again for getting involved.

April 2017

Jim Langen

Jim Langen is our 2017 April "Knight of the Month". Jim is a founding member of our council, joining in May of 1995. He is a active member of the church as an usher and his activity involved with many KC events throughout the year, most of the time in a leadership position. Jim has been for many years the chairperson of the Vocation Raffle program, Blue Ribbon Day, Hospitality Sunday, and our very successful Pancake & Sausage Breakfasts. Thank You Jim for all that you do for the Council, Church, and Community.

February 2017

Bill Cole

Bill Cole is our 2017 January "Knight of the Month". Bill is a founding member of our council, joining in May of 1995. He is a active member of the church as an usher and lector and is activity involved with many KC events throughout the year. Bill has been for many years the chairperson of the youth basketball free throw contest in Mt. Zion and helped the district contest in Decatur. Thank You Bill for all that you do for the Council, Church, and Community.

January 2017

Scott Becker

Scott Becker is our 2016 December "Knight of the Month". Scott is a very active member involved in many events and activities throughout the year. Scott join the KC in April 2014 and immediately got involved. He is a active member of the church and brings his family to many of our events. Scott spearheaded our first try in the "Keep Christ in Christmas" poster contest this year. He is already think about how to make that event even bigger next year. Thank You Scott for all that you do for the Council, Church, and Community.

December 2016

Jim Langen

Jim Langen is our 2016 November Knight of the Month. Jim is the backbone of many of our KC Activities. He leads Blue Ribbon Day, two Pancake Breakfast events, Hospitality Sundays, our budget process, and many, many other activities. One of the most important is the annual Vocation Raffle. This has been a very successful event for many years under Jim's leadership and gives the Council the ability to provide financial support to seminarians each year. ThankYou Jim for all that you do for the Council and the Church.

FAMILIES OF THE MONTH

July 2017

Bud & Marilyn Walsh

Congratulations to Bud & Marilyn, our July Family of the Month. Since joining our parish this last year, both have become very active, servicing as members of the choir, EMs, Lectors, and helping out with the Mats for the Homeless project, blood drives, and other KC activities. Their lives had changed dramatic in the last year, with a home and parish move, but what has not changed is their love of their faith, family, and friends. Thanks you for all you do for our parish and community.

January 2017

Ed Cirks Family

The KC Family of the Month for January is the Cirks. Ed and his wife Pat are actively involved in many church and community events. Both are EMs, Gift Bearers, and Greeters for Sunday Mass. Ed currently holds the position of DGK for the council and coordinates scheduling our 5th Sunday ministries for the KCs. Pat is involved in the CCW, Rosary Group, and a Red Hats Group. They both lead the Mats for Homeless Vets project within our church and spend countless hours at church and home working on this project. Pat and Ed, "Thank You" for your excellent example of a Catholic Christian couple.

Kurt Schnippel Family

The KC Family of the Month for December is the Schnippels. Kurt, his wife Peggy, along with their girls Kayla and Louise are activity involved in many church and community events. From PSR teacher and students, Mass ministries, KC activities in both Council 11582 and Assembly 211 to coaching / supporting youth softball, the Schnippel family stays active. Kurt and Peggy are and excellent example of a Catholic Christian couple to their children and parish family. Congratulations Kurt & Peggy.
