This Knight gives away turkeys for Thanksgiving in Berthoud. For about an hour, he and other Council brothers hand out frozen turkeys. This month, he allowed the Knights to use his restaurant's kitchen for the SEEK 22 conference in February. Thank you for all you do for the Knights and in the community of Berthoud.

This Knight always helps out with the Peanut Brittle. He gathers and packs each of the peanut brittle bags to make sure there is the right quantity in the bag. He stayed the longest at the bagging station and outlasted many others. Thank you for all your effort the day after Thanksgiving. Congratulations.

Congratulations to Ernest for stepping up and becoming our Recorder when this office was vacant after June. He volunteered and we are grateful for his increased dedication to the Council. The minutes are very important for all the members, especially those who did not attend the meeting. Joel Peterson
Joel is one of our core main cooks for breakfasts and events. Thank you for helping us out, especially at the CSU football concessions. We needed everyone there to serve all the fans who stopped by and supported our concessions. Thanks again for all you do for our Council and parish.
Gary Uphoff
Gary has helped at the CSU football concessions the first two games and needed all the help we could get. He was running getting food and drinks for the customers between two registers. We couldn't have served the customers without you. Thank you for help out not only at these events, but at all the events you help out at.

Dennis has been an active member since he started a few years ago and progressed to Faith Director. He has assisted the Knights with many functions and activities - most notably for the Ash Wednesday pins, breakfasts, and peach/apple sales. Thank you Dennis for all you do for the Council.

Congratulations to Roger who helped with bagging our peanut brittle day long making in December. He put in over 10 hours and helped pack over 800 bags. Thank you for all you do.

This Knight spent hours bagging, weighing and tying over 800 bags of peanut brittle. He was one of the four main baggers at this year's making peanut brittle event. He participates in many other activities at OLV and with the Council. Thank you for all your years of service!
Jerry Goeden
This Knight fostered the idea to make peanut brittle as a fund raiser activity for the Council over 10 years ago. This year will be the 10th year of the Council's peanut brittle making. He coordinates the cooking and candy making. He has a connection to order the correct type of peanuts for the candy. He dedicated to this project and appreciate him and bringing this idea to the Council. Thank you for all you do to coordinate this event and all the activities with the Knights of Columbus.
Pete Wolfe
This Knight is our current Pro-life Chairman and part of the the OLV Respect Life committee. He lets us know of the Respect Life events and needs from Mary's Cradle. Earlier this summer he coordinated a diaper drive for Mary's Cradle. He coordinates the Respect Life / Knights Lifesaver Lollipop drive, which the money raised goes to fund buses down to the Colorado State March For Life in January. He also keeps us informed on events with the 40 Days For Life. Thank you for all you do for the Council and the pro-life movement.
Robert Wingert
Bob was the carpenter from Nazareth who held the Council "woodchucks" in making the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium project. Not only did he give of his time and work, he also gave up his garage to help build, store and make the furniture. We appreciate all his effort and the use of his garage for this project. Thank you very much!
Thomas Chambers
Tom is very active in the Council. He participates in many of the events and has held many offices in the Council and is a past District Deputy. Tom chairs the giving out of the US Constitution to the area schools in US Government classes. He also helped us with the peaches and apples presale last month. Congratulations to Tom!
Gary P White
Gary is one of our Council's "Woodchucks". There were four Knights who helped with the Sacred Heart Academy Box Hockey project with the students. He took the time to mentor and work with the students while creating, cutting and building a playground box hockey. Thank you for being a mentor and giving back to kids.

Congratulations to Brian for June's Knight of the Month. Brian has helped out during the last two months with the traffic flow and parking lot when we had Livesteam Mass, parking lot Mass and drive through Holy Communion during the pandemic. Bill Hatch
Bill has been involved in many of the Knights and OLV projects and activities. He was one of the main managers for the CSU concession stands, helped with peaches/apples, pulled pork dinner, fish fries and part of the "Woodchucks". The latest is helping with the parking lot and traffic flow duty during the pandemic. Thank you for all you do for the Knights, our parish and the community.
Will Geiger
This Knight stepped up and offered to help the Grand Knight and the Council with scheduling and running the Zoom meetings after the "Stay at home" order was issued by the Governor. He taught us in ins and outs of Zoom and even how to have a voting option for motions and special business meeting session. Without him, we would be floundering around trying to schedule and host meetings. He also helps with many events during the year. Thank you for all you do for the Council, parish and community.

Congratulations to Ray for negotiating the special fish for our Fish Fry in March. He worked extra hard as our supplier is no longer in business and had to scramble to get the fish lined up for this year. He has participated in many events this past year - CSU Concessions, Fourth Degree Exemplification, Father/Daughter and Mother/Son dances, pulled pork and many other events. He is also our immediate Past Grand Knight. Thank you Ray for all that you have done and continue to do for our Council, Assembly, parish and community.
Steve Person
Steve is our recruitment co-chair and Trustee. He participates in many events. This past fall, Steve was the lead of one of the stands at the CSU concessions. He got there early and stayed late from the games and made sure things ran smooth in the Marcos Pizza stand. Thank you for all your hard work and effort.

Congratulations to James! He became a Second and Third Degree member this month and has helped out at many of our events, including the CSU concessions. Thank you for all the help and fellowship over the past few months.
Gerald Pfannensteil
This Knight spent hours bagging, weighing and sealing peanut brittle on Saturday, November 30th. Without him, we could not have got all the peanut brittle ready for the Saturday night sales after Mass. He would fill the bag and then weigh it. Most of the time, he was spot on with the weight per bag. All who were helping bag was amazed at his keen eye. Thank you for all you do for the Council!

Thank you Chuck for all your hard work in October. You finished the Football Crazr project, the Tootsie Roll project and led and coordinated our first Fourth Degree Exemplification. You accomplished all of this in less than a 6 week period. Thank you for all you do for our Council and Assembly.

This Knight has been our most seller of the Football Crazr for the past few years. The Football Crazr is a way the State and Council raises money to defray convention costs and provide incentives for Councils to participate in the convention. We want you to know that we appreciate your efforts and thank you.

Chuck led our Spiritual Retreat for District 1. He spent many hours planning, getting volunteers to help, arranging the speaker and coordinating the day. While facing family hardships, he continued to make sure the event would go on without major issues. He is also the Treasurer in the Council. Thank you for all that you do for the Council and parish. Great job on the retreat.
Michael Bosso
For our pulled pork picnic event this month, Mike and a few others smoked over 600 pounds of pork in his smoker. The Knights pulled the pork and provided baked beans, coleslaw, new potatoes and fresh corn on the cob. In fact, Mike arranged that the corn on the cob was picked the morning of the event. Of all the pork that was pulled, there were only 5 pounds left over after the parish picnic. It was very successful and delicious. Thank you Mike.
Thomas Costell
Thank you Tom for the past year as Faithful Navigator of our Assembly 3124. He also chairs the Council and parish grocery card programs. Earlier this spring, King Soopers changed from prepaid gift cards to using your loyalty number assigned to a Community Fund. Tom coordinated a church effort to convert over from gift cards to parishioners signing up our organization. This was done in less than a month and over two weekends. In July, we received a check with the fruits of his efforts. Thank you for all you do.

Chris and his family have been involved in many of the Knights and church projects. Recently, his son, Sam became a transitional deacon. Deacon Sam was at our parish all this summer. Chris helped out at our breakfasts and took on Tootsie Roll chairman.

Both Melissa and Thomas came in on Saturday and Sunday to help prepare food for the special 10th Anniversary for Fr. Gregg and Deacon John's celebration. If it wasn't for them, I am not sure if we could have made all the food that we did. Thank you for everything that weekend.

Congratulations to Pat and William. William encourages and spends many hours at the Knights events. He is one of the core helpers. He brought the project "Into the Breach" this Lent, spent 14 hours assisting with the peanut brittle, consistently assisted with drive-through Holy Communion and so many more projects. Dennis spent all day helping make the peanut brittle. He is also our Financial Secretary and appreciate all that he does to keep our records so organized and order the supplies that we need. Mary helps with parish events and support the Knights events. Congratulations to both of them!

This couple was selected for Harvey's dedication to our peanut brittle fund raising activity. He spent many hours on Saturday to bag, weigh and tie up over 800 bags of peanut brittle. This couple is very involved with our parish and the Knights. Terry helped a fellow Knight who moved from out of state. He spend a morning unloading and moving a big rental truck full of boxes and furniture. This demonstrated the idea of "Leave No Knight Behind". He also help with the distribution of our peanut brittle fund raiser in December. Thank you for all you do for the Knights and our parish.

Kathy and Jim braved the wind and cold weather to stand outside and give away Tootsie Rolls to raise money for Special Olympics. They are involved with many Knights functions and activities. Thank you for all you do for the Knights, our parish and the community.
Diana and David Larson
This couple is involved in both the Knights and church activities. Dave is an usher and they both helped out many times at the CSU football concession stands last year. Dave is the chair of the backpack and supplies for the local schools. He orders the backpacks and with the help of the Dollar Tree in Windsor, customers donate school supplies that go into the backpacks. This is the second year he has led this effort to help the less fortunate children in our community. Thank you to all the you do to help the Knights and our community great.

Deacon Harold and Gloria are very involved in the parish and community. Deacon Harold was asked to help us with the new CUF Degree ceremony. He was there for the practices and the certification for the team. He will play the role of the Chaplain when our priests can not make the Degree ceremonies. Thank you for stepping up and helping the Knights with this exemplification.
Romona and Ernie Hinojosa
This Knight and family support Our Lady of the Valley parish. Ernie is an usher at Mass and contributes to the Knights. He helps making our annual peanut brittle, cooking at our fish fries, part of our degree team and one of our "Woodchucks". He was of four Knights who helped with the Sacred Heart Academy Box Hockey project, where he mentored and worked with students create, construct and build a box hockey for their school playground. Also, he is helping with the Atrium project for our parish's new classroom for children ages 3 -6. Thank you for all your service and hours dedicated to our parish, community and families.

Congratulations to Brown Family as Family of the Month. This family participates and comes to Mass. The children are involved and Dave is a Knight and usher at the 10 am Mass. Dave has been helping out the Knights and the parish by directing traffic during the drive-through Holy Communion after the 10 am Masses. Thank you for your time and helping other receive Communion during the pandemic.
Mae and Joe Mendoza
The couple has been instrumental in helping the OLV parish with LiveStreaming Masses during the pandemic. Joe is the camera person and Mae has helped out. They provided the parishioners and all the internet users the opportunity to hear and see Fr. Gregg and Fr. Boguslaw during this crisis. Joe also is the photographer at our Knight events. Thank you for all that you do for the Knights and OLV.

This family is very involved with the Knights and OLV. Both are lecturers and Brett and his son are ushers. Their daughter is an altar server. Brett is our Recorder and very involved in helping our Council get up to date with technology. Recently, he was a great resource for the Grand Knight as we were trying different technologies for our meetings. Thank you for all your family does for the Knight and our parish!
Marla and Jim Bramer
This family is very involved with the Knights and OLV. Jim is our Program Director and is nearly at every event we have. This month, he stands out for all his effort he did with Supreme and the local/State press regarding the Play Church at Sacred Heart Academy. He coordinated the efforts for pictures and interviews. He also stepped up to use his conference line right after the "Stay at Home" order was issued. Recently, he also helped move a parishioner in and out of her apartment while management was "fixing it up". Thank you for all that both of you do for the Knights and Our Lady of the Valley parish.

Tim is part of our First Degree team and always pitches in to help us with many of the Knights events. Jenna helped with the CSU concessions on several occasions with her father. We appreciate all the family does to support the Knights, parish and the community.

Congratulations to the Giersch family - Glen, Elaine, Marcie and Garrett. A big thank you to Garrett. He came out multiple times to help us with the CSU concessions. I think he over 10 gallons of hot chocolate one night and then about 8 gallons the next game. Marcie is an altar server. This couple has helped the Knights in so many ways. Eva made many suggestions and pointers to us for our Mens Retreat and helped with the decorations for the hall for the retreat and the Fourth Degree Exemplification. Gail and Tom have been a great asset to the Knights and OLV. Gail is a member of the Women's Group and helped the Knights with the Men's retreat last month and many other events. She helps with the setup, cleanup and decorations. Tom is an involved Knight and participates in many events. They were helpful in our Fourth Degree Exemplification in October. Karen and Kerry Calkins have been involved in the Knights and Women's Group for a few years. Karen helped with decorating and getting volunteers to help with the Men's retreat in September. The Women's Group help serve the lunch during the retreat. Kerry helps out with many of the Knights events - Windsor Service day, pancake breakfasts, pulled pork picnic and is the Family and Community Director for the Council. He is also part of the "wood workers" who helped design and build lecterns for our classrooms and build a church at Sacred Heart Academy school.

Sandy and Dick are very involved at Our Lady of the Valley. Sandy helps and works with the Knights to provide signs, posters and other advertising material over the past few years. Recently, she helped with the parish picnic, selling peaches and apples, pulled pork event and updated some of our "older" signs. Dick is part of the pancake breakfast cooking crew. He helps with fish fries, picnics and other events. We are very grateful to have this couple.

This couple always goes to the 10 am Mass. Lou is the lead usher and chairman of the CSU concessions. This activity has helped the Council fund raise outside of the parish. Although it takes many people, this is becoming our biggest source of income for the Council. Thank you for leading this and the opportunity to give to our charities.

DURING HIS YEARS AS A MEMBER OF THE PARISH, THIS KNIGHT SERVED FOR MANY YEARS ON THE MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE WHICH PROVIDED SNOW REMOVAL, LAWN AND SPRINKLER SERVICES FOR THE CHURCH. THIS KNIGHT HAS ALSO SERVED ON THE BUSINESS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE FOR THE PARISH. PRESENTLY, THIS KNIGHT IS OFTEN SEEN ASSISTING THE KNIGHT’S WITH FOOD PANTRY SUPPORT EFFORTS.

Thomas Jones
This month we honor a family made up of a dedicated Third Degree Knight and his wife that have consistently provided many hours of service in numerous various areas to the Parish and the Knights of Columbus.
This Knight was a charter member of our Council, has served two terms in the office of Recorder, was instrumental in starting the Knight's newletter, and has acted as the chairman of the Parish golf tournament event, a substantial fund raiser for the Parish, for a decade. This Knight and his wife also served as the Chairman and Secretary of the building committee that raised monies for our present beautiful church facility. This Knight's wife, Kathleen, is a member of the Social Justice Committee and the Just Faith Ministry of the Parish. She was a founder of Mary's Cradle and has served as chair woman of the Parish's annual quilt raffle. She is also a board member of Stepping Stones, a local charitable organization supported by our Council. This Knight has participated in many Council functions throughout the years including, but not limited to, pancake breakfasts, the peanut brittle drive, fish frys, steak dinners and the Parish bazarre.
