IHOR KUKURBA
Ihor Kukurba is the Council #10441
Knight of the Month for November
2020. BK Ihor suggested a plan to
contact all the Brother Knights in our
council as part of the "Leave No
Knights Behind" program. Ihor
created a spreadsheet with available
contact information which allowed
our council to reach out and see
where help was needed. It's a
pleasure to have Ihor step up as a
new Knight and become our Worthy
Chancellor this year. Congratulations
to Brother Knight Ihor Kukurba

Jeff Vrabel
BK Jeff Vrabel is our June Knight of the Month in recognition
of his tireless work as our Council's coordinator for the State
Raffle. His creative efforts this year to make tickets available to
our Council members at a time of severely restricted social
interaction due to the pandemic, enabled our Council to achieve
roughly 50% of our budgeted goal. Thank you, Jeff, for your
good work this year and for all you've done to promote the
State Raffle within our Council during your service as our
Worthy Chancellor
Tom Metzger
Worthy PGK Tom Metzger is our KOM for May. Inspired by a personalized, get-well card he received from a religious order, while in the hospital recovering from surgery, SK Tom decided to pay the gesture forward with our Sick & Distressed Brother Knights. Once each quarter, Tom personally sends each Brother Knight, whom we know is battling an extended and/or serious illness, a beautifully illustrated, inspirational card with a hand written note of well-wishes on behalf of the Council. Thank you SK Tom for your leadership with this beautiful example of caring for our fellow Knights!
Tom Bohan
Our March Knight of the Month is Sir Knight Tom Bohan. This past
November, Tom passed the milestone of 20 years of continuous service
to our Council. During his tenure, Tom has held various Council
offices and is a Past Grand Knight. Although Tom could be resting on
his laurels, he remains very engaged in supporting Council
activities. He has established himself as the Guru of the Griddle at our
month ly Pancake Breakfasts and he routinely staffs the second shift at
our Blood Drive cantina. Tom rarely misses a Council meeting. Thank
you , Tom, for all you have done and continue to do in service to our
Council!

Peter Cano
SK Peter Cano is our December Knight of the Month. Peter and his wife, Mary, moved to Tucson from Utah this past Summer after which Peter promptly transferred his membership into our Council and Assembly. However, Peter didn't just join, he proactively sought out opportunities to contribute. Peter has admirably stepped up to fill our vacant Faithful Captain position in the Assembly, putting him in line to assume the Faithful Navigator role next year. Peter also joined the Honor Guard and has become our lead Honor Guard advocate to the Assembly in the effort to increase participation. Thank you Peter for being a shining example of how new members can get involved and have an immediate and significant impact on our Council and Assembly!
John Mulholland
Our Worthy Deputy Grand Knight, SK John Mulholland, is our November Knight of the Month. John has been a workhorse on the front lines of our Fall fundraising activities. He served as Team Captain for our Jim Click Car Raffle for two consecutive months, which committed him to being there for all the Masses on those weekends. John is also chairing our PWID drive. When efforts to find a store front location for our drive were unsuccessful, John worked with the Parish Office to reserve two weekends in the Courtyard. He was again present after every mass on those weekends soliciting donations and directing other Brother Knights, who had volunteered. Whenever fundraising is involved, our Council can count on John to put in overtime. Thank you, John, for your leadership in support our charities!

Ron & Mary Ann Gretka
SK Ron Gretka, and his wife Mary Ann are our May Family of the Month for once again stepping up to chair our Council's Lenten Soup and Bread program. In addition to scheduling the soup cooks and kitchen help, the Gretka's each week shopped for and donated the bread and salad items (a new menu item this year). The program was cut short this year after just 3 Fridays due to the Coronavirus, but our Council and parishioners very much appreciate the Gretka's for providing this very nice social event before Stations of the Cross on Fridays during Lent!
