Council 10232 recognizes Brother Glen Sietsema as the Knight of the Month for December. Glen has been a regular attendee and active participant at all Council meetings, frequently responds to Council requests for assistance, and participates in other Council activities and events. SK Danny Garcia
Council 10232 recognizes Sir Knight Danny Garcia as the Knight of the Month for November. Danny spearheaded the Council’s annual Winter Clothing Item drive for those in need in the Huntsville and Madison community, collecting, separating, and distributing over 800 clothing items to agencies that service the needy. He also managed the loose change collection of over $500 for the Athens Women’s Resource Center as part of the Council’s Aid and Support After Pregnancy (ASAP) initiative.
Brother Michael Graham
Council 10232 recognizes Brother Michael Graham as the Knight of the Month for October. Recently elevated to full Knighthood as a 3rd Degree Knight, Michael is an active supporter and participant in Council meetings and activities, participating in our ID Drive collections and helping out on short-notice calls to assistance. He is also a regular participant in St. John’s Intercessory Prayer Group and the monthly Council Prayer Rallies for Life.
Rev Thomas Anthony
Council 10232 recognizes Father Thomas Anthony as the Knight of the Month for September. Father Thomas has served St. John’s as Associate Pastor for six months and joined the Council shortly after his arrival from India. He has been a Spiritual leader of the Council and St. John’s Parish community. We wish him well in his new assignment.

Council 10232 recognizes SK Patrick Garcia as the Knight of the Month for August, 2024. Patrick participates in and supports many Council activities, regularly attends Council meetings, frequently attends daily Mass, and also functions as the Night Security Manager for St. John’s, responsible for securing the Parish church and office building. Council 10232 recognizes SK Nicholas Kempf as the Knight of the Month for July, 2024. Nick, relatively new to the Council as a transfer last year, has unselfishly donated his time in support of Council activities, including some short-notice requests for assistance. Congratulations, Nick!

Council 10232 recognizes Reverend Father SK Bryan Lowe, Pastor of St. John’s and Chaplain of Council 10232 as the Knight of the Month for June. Father Bryan has tirelessly steered the Parish closer to God, and has always been a great supporter of our Council and the activities we do, providing guidance when asked. We can’t thank him enough! SK William (Billy) Pyne
Council 10232 recognizes Sir Knight William (Billy) Pyne as the Knight of the Month for May. Billy is a regular attendee at Council meetings and a regular participant at most Council events and activities. SK Pyne is also an Usher at Masses at St. John’s. Council 10232 recognizes Sir Knight Stephen Moeller as the Knight of the Month for April. SK Moeller has selflessly served as the Council Recorder, producing comprehensive meeting notes for the Council’s Business and Fraternal COR meetings. Aaron Mebane
Council 10232 recognizes Brother Aaron Mebane as the Knight of the Month for March. Brother Mebane selflessly responded to every request for help and assistance during the Council’s Lenten Fish Fries, whether it was to help cook and prepare food, serve, replenish the serving lines, or cleaning up the kitchen and the Parish Hall. Well done, Aaron!
Brother Bryan Klump
Council 10232 recognizes Brother Brian Klump as the Knight of the Month for February. Brother Klump actively participated in helping set up the Parish Hall for the first two Fish Fries, helped serve Fish Fry customers and then jumped in to help clean up the many pans and utensils used to prepare and serve the meal. Congratulations, Brian!

Council 10232 recognizes Brother Nick Selig as the Knight of the Month for January. Brother Selig is one of the many avid pro-life advocates and participants in our Council’s Right to Life and Aid & Support After Pregnancy (ASAP) activities. He participated in the Diocese of Birmingham’s Mass for Life & Prayer Vigil, and coordinates our support to the Huntsville Pregnancy Resource Center
SK Carlos Fernandez
Council 10232 recognizes Sir Knight (SK) Carlos Fernandez as the Knight of the Month for December. SK Fernandez has always been the first to respond for help and assistance. Besides being the Council Chancellor, he also leads the Parish Intercessory Prayer Group. Carlos was instrumental in the success of the December Knights Night Out, arranging for the main course. Congratulations, Carlos!
SK Daniel Ward
Council 10232 recognizes Sir Knight (SK) Daniel Ward as the Knight of the Month for November for his leadership in conducting and making the Council’s Metal For Mothers Drive a success. Under his leadership, the Council collected and turned in assorted aluminum and metals for recycling that raised about $500 for the Athens Women’s Resource Center as part of the K of C Aid and Support After Pregnancy (ASAP) initiative.
SK Robert (Bob) Ellerbrock
Council 10232 recognizes Sir Knight (SK) Robert (Bob) Ellerbrock as the Knight of the Month for October, 2023. While there were several Brother Knights who unselfishly volunteered their time and effort to the many Council activities that required assistance in October, Bob was one of only two who came out to assist in conducting the Council and District 20 Soccer Challenge. Congratulations, Bob!
SK Michael Jones
Council 10232 recognizes Sir Knight (SK) Michael Jones as the Knight of the Month for September, 2023. Mike has consistently provided landscape assistance to SK Joe Prince, a Brother in need. He has also sculpted coffee mug sets with the K of C emblem on them that have been used as prizes for periodic raffles at Council meetings. Congratulation SK Mike Jones! Well done!
Brother Michael Mai
Council 10232 recognizes Brother Michael Mai as its Knight of the Month for August. Mike unselfishly responded to calls for assistance over the past couple of months, helping another Brother with moving furniture and assisting several Brothers with removing all the tables, chairs and items from the Basement Hall, Knights Room, and All-Purpose Room in preparation for floor cleaning and waxing
SK Larry Burke
Council 10232 is proud to recognize Brother (Sir Knight) Lawrence (Larry) Burke as the Knight of the Month for July. As the new Council Treasurer, he ensured the Council’s balance sheet, income and cash flow statements were accurate and reported on time. Larry also assists SK Ron Belz in running and conducting the Council’s Bi-monthly SK John Horch Memorial Blood Drives, which have consistently exceeded American Red Cross blood collection goals.

Council 10232 is proud and honored to recognize Brother (Sir Knight) Craig Priebe as the Knight of the Month for June. As the Recorder for Council 10232, Craig consistently produced detailed comprehensive meeting minutes for the Council’s Business and Fraternal meetings in a timely manner. He also produces and edits the monthly “Lancer” newsletter, is a regular participant in St. John’s Intercessory Prayer Group weekly prayer sessions, and is a member and guitar accompanist in St. John's Adult Choir.
Sir Knight Robert (Bob) Easton
Council 10232 is proud and honored to recognize Brother (Sir Knight) Robert (Bob) Easton as the Knight of the Month for May. Bob assisted in several projects, including the JP II High School Freshman Orientation BBQ, the Grand Knight’s request for help with a fence project and the request for help moving the Dagmar Covington family. He’s also Ms. Leslie Harris’ “go to” person when she needs support in the Parish Hall kitchen for funerals, weddings, or special events.

Council 10232 is proud and honored to recognize Brother Joe Velasquez as the Knight of the Month for April. Brother Joe is the Council’s Life Program Activities Director and is a regular participant at the abortuary prayer rallies and annual Life Mass, March, and Witness Rally in Birmingham. He also helps the Plummers get to meetings and elsewhere. Congratulations Joe!
SK James Cook
Council 10232 recognizes Sir Knight James Cook as the Knight of the Month for March 2023. James continued to take a very active role in all of the Council’s activities for the month of March, and played a critical role in recruiting a number of prospective candidates and leading a couple of them to Knighthood in Council 10232.
Tom O'Donnell
Brother Tom O’Donnell took the lead in coordinating needed support from the Council with the North
Alabama Special Olympics Coordinator for two bowling events in February. He also coordinated support for and conducted the annual Free Throw competition, which required the use of an alternate location, the St. John Paul II High School gymnasium, due to flooding damage at St. John’s School gym.
Joe McCarty
Sir Knight (SK) Joe McCarty, our Financial Secretary, does so much behind the scenes when it comes to keeping track of the council financials and audits. Joe
does an excellent job at that, the ultimate accounting professional. Additionally, he often
serves as a Lector at daily Mass, and as the Sacristan and Acolyte for the Wednesday Adoration and
evening Mass.
Lawrence Burke
Sir Knight (SK) Larry Burke is recognized as the Knight of the Month for December for his work in helping SK Ron Belz with Blood Drives and other duties within the Council. He's also the Faithful Purser in Assembly 2420.
Nick Selig
Brother Nick Selig contributed greatly to the success of the 5th Annual Tootsie Roll 5K Run/Walk Race in early November, jointly conducted by St. John the Baptist Council 10232 and Most Merciful Jesus Council 17519. As the Assistant Race Director, Nick helped coordinate all aspects of race from arranging for event sponsors, publicizing the event, arranging the pre-registration support, coordinating the event date, route, and logistic support with Madison city. His efforts were instrumental in achieving over a 100% growth in the number of registered race participants over the previous year. Over 390 people registered and 313 participated. Nick also spearheads the Madison Knights Running Club activities.
Chris Pate
Brothers and Sir Knights James Cook and Chris Pate went above and beyond during the month of October in support of the Council’s Intellectual Disabilities Drive. Not only did both Knights support the Drives held at St. John’s following the weekend Masses, but they also encouraged donations during the John Horch Memorial Blood Drive on October 15th and while the Council ran the Concession Stand for the St. John Paul II High School football game on October 21st. The proceeds they collected during the blood drive were presented at the Council’s Fraternal Meeting.
James Cook
Brothers and Sir Knights James Cook and Chris Pate went above and beyond during the month of October in support of the Council’s Intellectual Disabilities Drive. Not only did both Knights support the Drives held at St. John’s following the weekend Masses, but they also encouraged donations during the John Horch Memorial Blood Drive on October 15th and while the Council ran the Concession Stand for the St. John Paul II High School football game on October 21st. Brother Keaton Loper is recognized as the Council’s Knight of the Month for September. A relatively new member, having joined earlier this year, Keaton donated the first year’s payment for the Council’s new website.
Andrew Heller
Brother Andrew Heller has supported numerous events and activities, volunteering to help at the UAH Catholic Campus Ministry House and helping at the Concession Stand for the St. John Paul High School football game. He is also our Council liaison with our seminarians.
Anwarul Haq
Brother Anwarul Haq spearheaded this Summer’s Knights’ Night Out activity, promoting attendance by Council Brothers and their families at a Trash Panda baseball game. He obtained admission tickets, arranged for food and refreshments, and coordinated Council and Assembly participation in unfurling a giant US flag and as the Color Guard for posting the Colors during the National Anthem,

Council 10232 recognizes Brother Matt Kokkeler and his wife, Traci, as the Council’s Family of the Month for December. As the Council’s Faith Program Director, Matt leads the Council in prayer at all Council meetings, and leads the recitation of our monthly Rosary. He also submits reports on all of the Council’s Faith Program activities and tracks the participation of Knights in those activities.

Council 10232 recognizes Brother Brian Mitchell, his wife, Kathleen, and their children, Brother Knight Brendan, Maria, Eli, Daniel, and Isabella as the Council’s Family of the Month for November. As the Council’s Family Program Director, Brian collaborated with Father Bryan and the Youth Group Director to initiate the K of C “Family Fully Alive” prayer program at St. John’s beginning this Advent. Brian also serves as an Usher at Sunday Mass, and Kathleen manages the family’s home-schooling, is a greeter at Sunday Mass, and is also involved in different Parish ministries. Additionally, Brendan, Eli and Daniel assisted with loading and delivering more than 500 pounds of Thanksgiving providence to Cenacolo. The family regularly attends Wednesday weekday Mass, and the children are involved in the Parish Youth Group, as well as being involved in the Parish choir and as altar servers.

Council 10232 recognizes Brother Robert (Bobby) Bender and his wife, Angela, as the Council’s Family of the Month for October. Also recently elevated to full Knighthood as a 3rd Degree Knight, Brother Bobby and his wife, Angela provided tremendous assistance during the Council’s running of the Concession Stand for JP II’s Home football games and participated in the ID Drive collections at St. John’s. Angela is also an active participant in the Ladies Auxiliary.

Council 10232 recognizes Brother Tom Irby and his new wife, Donna Skinner as the Council’s Family of the Month for September, 2024. Tom has been an active participant in Council activities and been a regular presenter of the Unity lesson at Council exemplifications. Donna is the Secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary. Both have also assisted St. John’s as hosts during Parish Directory photo sessions.

Em spearheaded and facilitated the day-long Coming Home Retreat for active-duty military, veterans, and their spouses in late July, the third such retreat. Council 10232 recognizes Deacon SK Dan Laurita and his wife, Paula, as our Family of the Month for June. Deacon Dan is a great supporter of Council 10232 and the activities we take on. Dan has helped out behind the scenes (e.g., during our Fish Fries, helping SK Joe Duffy with painting the second story window frame & panels, providing some golf instruction to Brother Knights) Marge is an active participant in the Ladies Auxiliary.

Council 10232 recognizes Brother John Mee and his wife, Tana as the Family of the Month for March. John jumped in the help cook, serve and clean the cooking pans/utensils during the Council’s Lenten Fish Fries. John also responded to a short-notice request to help a single mother in need. He and Tana are very active in the Parish’s St. Vincent DePaul ministry, providing aid to the less fortunate.

Council 10232 recognizes SK Mike & Jacky Walsh as the Family of the Month for February. SK Walsh was the Council’s Chairman of the recent Keep Christ in Christmas Drive, and actively participates in other Council activities. Jacky, a former President of the Ladies Auxiliary, continues to actively participate in the Ladies’ outreach to the Council, Parish, and community. Both regularly attend daily Mass.

Council 10232 recognizes Past Grand Knight SK Jerome and Brenda Villarreal as the Family of the Month for January. SK Villarreal procured additional funding from Supreme for the Huntsville Pregnancy Resource Center and coordinated the ID Drive check presentation to the Madison City School District. Brenda is the Administration Consultant at St. John’s School, and she designs many Council’s flyers.
SK Larry & Eileen Burke
Council 10232 recognizes SK Larry Burke and his wife, Eileen. Larry serves as the Council Treasurer, consistently ensuring prompt payment of Council debts. He is also the Assistant Coordinator of the Council’s successful bi-monthly blood drives, and is one of the first to volunteer for Council and Assembly events. Eileen is very active in supporting the needy in the local community through the St. Vincent DePaul ministry at St. John’s.
SK Mike & Nancy Jones
Council 10232 recognizes SK Mike Jones and his wife, Nancy. They selflessly donated Mike’s hand-made ceramic pottery and her hand-made Afghan shawls to the Council for sale during the St. John’s Craft Sale to raise funds for veterans. Not only did they donate their time and material, but also made a monetary donation to the cause.

Danny and Patrick were both very active in the Council’s many Community activities during October. Danny also spear-headed coordinating and organizing assistance from Brothers to help a long-time, senior Sir Knight trim and clean up the trees and shrubs on his property as he prepares it for sale.

Besides being a member of the Council, Kraig is an usher at weekend Mass, and is active in other St. John’s ministries. Hollie has been extremely helpful to the Council as a Parish Staff administrator, and provided a lot of assistance to ensure Council events get publicized in the Parish Bulletin and during announcements before the end of each weekend Mass. Council 10232 recognizes SK Bill and Maura Edwards as its Family of the Month for August. Bill is a Third Order Franciscan, works with “To The Nations,” a charitable company in Georgia, and recently returned from a trip with other company personnel to Uganda where they provided needed help and assistance to the Ugandan people. He is also active in other St. John’s ministries. Maura is a sacristan at St. John’s and frequently attends daily Mass, weekly Adoration, First Friday Adoration, and First Saturday Holy Hours.

Council 10232 is proud to recognize Brother (Sir Knight) Joe McCarty and his wife, Kathy, as the Family of the Month for July. As the Council’s Financial Secretary, Joe enrolls new members in Council 10232, and ensures consistent, accurate tracking of Council membership at the local, State, and Supreme organizational levels. He also assisted Larry Burke in assuming Council Treasurer duties. He and Kathy often provide needed assistance to our homebound Brother Knights, are regular attendees at daily Mass, and regularly participate in St. John’s intercessory prayer group. Joe is also the sacristan for Wednesday Adoration and evening Mass.

Council 10232 is proud and honored to recognize Brother (Sir Knight) Em Bataille and his wife, Carol, as the Family of the Month for June. Em is the Council’s Faith Programs Director in addition to being one of the Council’s Trustees. He spearheaded the effort to organize a Parish-wide showing of the movie, “St. Joseph: Our Spiritual Father.” He also played a key role in organizing the second “Coming Home” retreat for military personnel, retired military personnel, veterans and their spouses, recently hosted by Holy Spirit Church. Carol is actively engaged in Ladies Auxiliary activities.

Council 10232 is proud and honored to recognize Brother (Sir Knight) Ed Arominski and his daughter Ashley as the Family of the Month for May. Ed and Ashley coordinated and promoted Council support for two JP II High School activities during the month of May, the JP II Golf Tournament fundraiser during which the Council sponsored a hole and had several Knights participate, and the JP II Freshman Orientation Night BBQ where Council Brothers grilled and served hot dogs, chips, soft drinks and cookies. Ed is also a prayer leader in the Parish Intercessory Prayer Group, and Ashley is a teacher at JP II.
The Mitchell Family
Council 10232 is proud and honored to recognize the Brian & Kathy Mitchell Family. Since becoming a Brother Knight in December, 2022, Brian, Kathy, and their children have been vary active in St. John’s Parish Community and Council activities. The entire Mitchell family helped out at the Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday. They regularly attend the weekday evening Masses. Kathy helps out on a regular basis at the Catholic Center for Concern, and all their children are very active in the Parish as altar servers at the weekend Masses. Eli, their son, entertains at area nursing homes and is also a member of the Parish choir and occasional cantor at Mass. Well done, Mitchell Family!
Ward Family
Council 10232 recognizes the Ward Family as the Family of the Month for March 2023. Sir Knight Dan and his wife, Claire, along with their children Gavin, Elise, Aiden, and Tessa, were a valuable source of help during all of the Council’s Lenten Fish Fries, attending every event, helping out with set-up and clean-up. They also donated the raffle grand prize, a wooden carving of the Last Supper, made by Dan’s father, brother, and him.

Brother Tony Serpa and his wife, Joan, have jumped right in to support Council activities following his exemplification to the Third Degree just a few months ago! Tony has supported calls for Council assistance, including the first Lenten Fish Fry, and Joan is an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary. They also provided the snacks and refreshments for the Council’s Charity/unity/Fraternity exemplification on February 26th

Br Michael Plummer and his sister, Elizabeth, are always active, not only in the Parish, the Council and Ladies Auxiliary respectively, but also out in the
community volunteering in the community as well, like at the Space and Rocket Center. Their brother Robert and his wife Claire are also fixtures and a big

The Kraig & Hollie Tersigni Family are recognized as the Family of the Month for December. Kraig serves as an usher, helps with RCIA, and takes Eucharist to homebound. Hollie is a LA member, is the parish office administrator. Twins Noah and Hanna attend St John's Elementary School.
Justin & Kristen Carter and family
Justin and Kristen Carter have been active, frequent supporters of many Council 10232 activities. Justin holds the office of Lecturer in Council 10232, and often spearheads the contribution raffles held at Council meetings to raise funds for the Council's charitable activities. Kristen is active in the Knights of Columbus Ladies' Auxiliary. They often bring their children to help out not only at Council events, but also in support of the wider St. John's Parish community.
The Haas Family
The Council is recognizing the family of the late Sir Knight Pat Haas and the Keaton and Amanda Loper family for October.
Pat’s widow, Maureen, is a retired Special Education school teacher who taught in the Madison City School District. She, along with surviving daughter Emily, continue to support our Council activities, especially those supporting students with intellectual disabilities in Madison City schools. They supported the Tootsie Roll Drive at ACE Hardware and the Council Concession Stand fundraising at the St. John Paul II High School football games. Maureen frequently attends daily Mass and both are active in the Ladies’ Auxiliary, where . Maureen holds the office of Secretary.
Keaton and Amanda Loper
The Council is recognizing the family of the late Sir Knight Pat Haas and the Keaton and Amanda Loper family for October.
Keaton and his wife, Amanda, have been big supporters of Council activities and it’s no surprise why since Amanda is the daughter of Maureen and the late Pat Haas. Keaton became a Knight a few months ago and attends Council meetings when he’s not flying commercially. Amanda is active in the Ladies Auxiliary and has also supported the Council’s ID Drive activities in October
Tim and Pamela Albers
The Council’s Family of the month for September is Brother Tim and Pamela Albers. Tim is a frequent attendee at daily Mass and can often be counted on to help out in the frequent calls for assistance from the Council. Pamela is an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary. They are proud parents of two young adult children and one teenage child.
Ronnie & Linda Rickabaugh
Ronnie and Linda Rickabaugh are active members in our Parish, the Council and Ladies’ Auxiliary respectively. Ronnie has taken on the role in the Council as the Family Programs Director. Linda is also fundraising for a cure to children’s cancer in the Great Cycle Challenge.

Joe and Mary Duffy are actively involved, not only in our Council #10232 and Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary activities, but also in the St. Vincent DePaul ministry of St. John’s Parish. Joe has also taken on an initiative to bring a new, more robust and user-friendly Council website online in the very near future.

While not a family of a Knight, they are a Parish family. Dagmar is a fixture at the bortion clinic every Saturday and has been for over 10 years. Her sons have attended with her almost weekly in the past. Because of Catholics like her and the family, the country is moving in the right direction when it comes to respect for life from inception through natural end
