Pray Request for Vanessa Vance

Brothers,
Please join me in prayer for a very special lady, Vanessa Vance. Her mom told me on Saturday that she was in the hospital with an internal infection. I spoke with Paul Vance this morning and he said Vanessa continues to do well with medication and treatment. I will add her to the Tuesday Rosary prayer list. Please keep Vanessa, her caregivers, doctors and nurses in your personal prayers.

May our blessed Mother Mary watch over and protect her and may she ask our Lord and Savior Jesus, to bring her to a timely and complete recovery. Amen.

Sal Scalia

5/29/23 Urgent Request from Kay Parker…Prayers Needed for Nephew Drew Pearce

Good afternoon, Velma!
Thank you for being such a prayer warrior and communicating needs for prayer among us! We are truly the Body of Christ!
Yesterday we learned that our 29 year old nephew Andrew Pearce dove into shallow water on Saturday and is now on life support. Plans are being made for organ donation. The family is assembling at his bedside and a stream of friends are coming to say their goodbyes.
I ask for prayers that Drew’s time of transition be a peaceful introduction to our Savior Jesus Christ and an experience of His immense love and mercy!
Thank you and God be with you, Carlos and your family on this Memorial Day and feast of Mary, Mother of the Church!
…………..Kay Parker

Update on Jennifer Tollette

After receiving several inquiries concerning Jennifer Tollette, I contacted her and asked her for an update. Jennifer was gracious enough to provide the following message:

"Thank you for reaching out to me for an update, and most especially, thank you for the prayers of our amazing community.

I am doing amazingly well. I have had 5 rounds of chemo with one to go, which will include 2 days of chemo the last 2 Wednesdays of May. With the last round I have experienced extreme fatigue and my muscles feel very heavy. I get shortness of breath with minimal exertion. That being said, I am in good spirits and have managed to attend 4 weddings since April 1. With the help of a wheelchair in the airport, I was able to visit my daughter and 2 grandbabies in Denver this week.

Thank you again for your prayers.
I will have scans again in about 3 weeks to determine the next course of treatment. Please pray for good results!"

Dear Prayer Warriors,
I received the request, below from our own Deacon Larry. He called me to ask if I was still doing Prayer Requests. I told him that I was, but having some problems with my email. He asked that we pray for the Grandson of a friend, and texted me the following: See his request, below, in his own words, and please join me in honoring this request..

"Hi Velma,
A co-worker's teenage grandson, Marcello Leadbetter, age 15... has been suffering from a painful neck wound, that isn't healing, and he is in need of our prayers,
for his healing.
He has had two surgeries already, and is in need of prayer. He is unable to attend school because of this, and is frustrated because of memories of the COVID Pandemic, which forced children of school ages, to remain at home." Deacon Larry

Urgent Prayers Requested for Martha Lamboy and Her Son, Jeff

Dear Prayer Warriors,
Sometimes, we are totally unprepared for what we hear when we answer our phone.
Such was the case, as I received a call from our Sister In Christ, and member of our Thursday Morning Faith group, Martha Lamboy…for whom, we have prayed for, previously. She said that her Son, Jeff, has been “very ill”, and she is back with him.

Below, are Martha’s words, to describe her journey, since we have touched base. Please read on:
During our conversation, Martha advised me…
******************************************
“Velma, Jeff’s Cancer has come back, and he is hospitalized.” She said, “I had returned home to San Antonio, to see my own doctor, for some serious health issues. After discussing my Son’s health issues, with my own doctor, I postponed my surgery, with my doctor, and headed back to Arizona to be with my Son. My daughter is also with us. I am requesting prayers for Jeff’s healing, and that he is not in too much pain and suffering…”
Thank you, Velma. Martha Lamboy”
