During the final meeting of Council 11319 for the 2017-2018 year, Grand Knight Andy Garrity presented awards to Knights that made important contributions to the Council.
Stan Norkiewicz received the Grand Knight Award Plaque. Stan was the previous Grand Knight.
Joe Ranaudo receiving the Lifetime Service Award for his time and dedication to supporting Council 11319.
Norm LeDonne received the Award of Appreciation for his efforts in creating an online presence for Council 11319.
Dave Vacca received the Rookie Knight of the Year Award for his success in cooking for the Fish Fry, and for his contributions to the many activities of Council 11319.
Every Council has at least one Brother Knight that has stood out for many years. This is an excellent way to give him some very special recognition. A candidate for this award must be a member in good standing and must have been a Knight of Columbus member for at least fifteen (15) years. The Brother Knight so honored should exemplify Columbianism in the truest sense of the word. He should be a true source of inspiration to his Brother Knights. Since one deserving of the title of “Golden Knight” should be a man involved in the works of: The Order, His Church, His community.
Every Council has at least one Brother Knight that stands out in a fraternal year, regardless of tenure with the council. This is an excellent way to give him some special recognition. A candidate for this award must be a member in good standing and must have become a Knight of Columbus member before April 1, 2017. The Knight of the Year should be a complete Knight, one who is actively involved in the works of the Order, his Church, and his community.
