St Monica's Yard Cleanup Sept 2025

On Sept. 20/21st, we held a membership drive at St.Monica’s parish and during the pulpit presentation, I suggested the men of our parish need to step up and get engaged and let’s start in our own back yard, helping Fr.Damian as the parish. You see, our church was scheduled to be demolished last year to be replaced with a condo building where the church would be built into the front of the building, however, delays have resulted in reduced mass attendance and weekly funds and so Fr.Damian had to terminate all these outside services as well as a paid youth ministry position. So last year he asked the Knights for some help.
On Sept 27th, just a week after the membership drive we had 19 men sign up and 14 showed up to help with the yard work and quickly got to experience of brotherhood in action. It was a fast paced morning and after 2.5 hours, the heavy work was completed and Fr. Damian came out to bless the men for our efforts.

Many of the new members will go through Exemplification on Sept.30th or October 28th 2025, at our Council Chambers. Hope our current brothers will all come out to welcome them into our council.

Special thanks to our worthy Grand Knight, who’s past experience in Toronto Parks & Rec. provided guidance as well as lots of tools to help us get the job done. His tireless leadership and effort typically goes under the radar, but he has been an inspiration to us all.
