Deceased Members Memorial Mass
On Sunday, May 19, members of the council and family friends, gathered at the 10:00 AM Mass at St. Joseph Church, where Msgr. Marc called us to remember those members of the council who have died. There were about 40 Knights, as well as several family members and widows of past knights attending. After Mass, we gathered at the Knights Memorial Stone at Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, for a roll call of our deceased. After this blessing, we returned to the hall for fellowship and remembrance.
Thanks go to Ed Lynch and friends for sprucing up the grounds and for replacing worn KofC flags on the graves of our dead, both at Pine Grove Cemetery and at Veteran’s Cemetery in the historic town center.
And we thank Dick Collopy for his work in leading this ceremony and in providing the refreshments.
