Rick Veilleux. The 2024 HarvestFest, held on October 5th, was quite a success. The Knights supplied hot food in the form of hamburgers, hot dogs, or pulled pork sandwiches with chips and a drink for $5/plate. There were 550 meals purchased netting about $3,000. There was about $2,500 in expenses for the food service. Many Knights were involved in moving tent, tables, chairs, grills and associated equipment from the Hall and St. Joseph’s location to Mary Queen of Peace grounds. They also furnished setting up workers, cooks, parking attendants, and trash removers. Over 25 Knights were involved overall beside Rick.
Rick tentatively volunteered to serve as chair for the Knights participation in next year’s picnic. But- he wants to have a co-chair to help him because it turned out to be a really big job to oversee all preparations for one person.
