Council 1388 Knights and spouses at the 16th annual Jesuit Provincial’s Dinner
At this year’s dinner, honored long-time supporters and friends Ruth Henneberry and William Blakeney, partners of the law firm of Blakeney, Henneberry, Murphy and Galligan. Ruth and Bill have supported the Jesuits for many years, both with legal counsel, with Indigenous relations, and with fundraising events. Ruth and Bill initiated the highly successful and annual Scotch Nosing fundraiser now in its tenth year. Bill has been legal counsel throughout the Indian Residential Schools litigation and volunteered his time and energy in the Truth & Reconciliation Commission from its inception. They are worthy recipients of our Magis Award for their commitment to joining us in furthering the Jesuit mission, all for God’s greater glory.
This year’s jubilarian is Father Michel R. Boutilier who currently serves as chaplain at St. Paul’s High School in Winnipeg. Fr. Boutilier has been a committed educator for most of his Jesuit life, teaching in our Jesuit schools in Winnipeg, Montreal, and St. John’s.
The Mass, reception, and dinner took place at The Bellvue Manor at 8083 Jane St. in Vaughan, ON.
