Since attendance at the 2021 D.C. March for Life was severely restricted due to the coronavirus, St. Patrick's parish conducted a local Pro-Life event on 29 January. It began with a beautiful, well-attended mass, including many families with children, at 9:10 A.M. said by Fr. Bob Kilner. After mass, the parishioners gathered in the parking lot for hot chocolate and then lined the perimeter of the church property on Norbeck Road and Muncaster Mill Road with pro-life signs, some of which were donated by our Council. A rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet were prayed over a loudspeaker in the parking lot. There was lots of positive feedback from passing cars and trucks. It was a frigid but blessed morning.
Attendees from our Council included Steve and Marilyn Goldhammer and Elsie Bergamini. Steve and Elsie are pictured. Other Council members who may have attended were obscured by their COVID masks and winter clothing.
Vivat Jesus!
