The Knights of Columbus Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest continues to be a cherished tradition—one that invites our young people to pause amid the holiday bustle and reflect on the true heart of Christmas: the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Through art, students are encouraged to express their faith, their creativity, and their understanding of the season’s sacred meaning.
This year, the James C. Fletcher Council 11422 once again submitted outstanding parish entries to the Maryland State competition. We are thrilled to share that one of our own young parishioners distinguished herself at the state level. An entry from St. Joseph Parish earned Second Place in the entire state of Maryland, a remarkable achievement that reflects both artistic talent and heartfelt devotion.
During the 12:00 noon Mass on Sunday, February 22, the council joyfully recognized Miss Grace Sohou for her exceptional work. A check and a beautifully framed Certificate of Recognition were presented to her before the parish community—an inspiring moment that highlighted the importance of nurturing faith in our youth.
We invite you to view the photos and the official certificate of recognition attached. They capture not only Grace’s accomplishment but also the spirit of encouragement and community that makes our council/parish so special.
