WHO ARE WE?

         We are the Knights of Columbus; we are a fraternal, nonprofit 501(c)(8) organization for Catholic Men. Our organization was founded in 1882 to take care of the orphan and the widow. Since then, we have evolved to take care of a wide variety of needs; We sell booyah to support the seminaries of our diocese, we pray outside of Planned Parenthood to fight against abortion, and we host a golf outing to help raise 10's of $1,000 for a family in dire need (not to mention Pass-Punt-Kick and the Kwik-Trip-Car-Wash and Tootsie Roll sales).

         Why should you become a Knight? We can help you grow in your Faith Activities, your Family Activities, your Community Activities, and your Activities to promote Life. You will also be able to network a while variety of men with numerous vocations; from farmers to engineers, from pilots to electricians, from Deacons to Bishops. 

 

         Membership is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See, who are at least 18 years of age; I am here to invite all of you men if you are able. Do not let your busy schedule with work and family be the reason why you cannot join, but the reason why you MUST join.

⛨ Father Platta... Who is he?

      Father B. L. Platta born on January 24, 1905; the son of Mr. and Mrs. Valentinde Platta of Rosholt, WI.  He attended St. Bonaventur School, Sturtevant, St. Mary's Orchard Lake, Mich, and St. Francis Seminary at Milwaukee.  He was ordained in Green Bay on May 7, 1930, by Bishop Rhode. 

      He served as assistant pastor of Saints Peter and Paul in Stevens Point, and then St. Mary's, Torum, where he became pastor.  Fr. Platta was assigned pastor of Saints Cyril and Methodius Church at Eaton, WI. on July 29th, 1943.  He also belonged to the newly organized Knights of Columbus in Denmark.

      This council is named in honor of Fr. Platta.

Almighty and eternal God,

who has created us in thine image and bade us to seek after all
that is good, true and beautiful, especially in the divine person
of Thy only-begotten Son, Our LORD Jesus Christ,
grant we beseech Thee that through the intercession of Saint Isidore,
bishop and doctor, during our journeys through the internet we will
direct our hands and eyes only to that which is pleasing to Thee and
treat with charity and patience all those souls whom we encounter.
Father we ask you this, through Christ our LORD .

 - Amen.

 

   Glory to be God in the Highest for extending his protection to Donald Trump on July 13th, that he was able to survive an assassination;
   We pray for the repose of Corey Comperatore's Soul, who was murdered while shielding his family from bullets;
   We pray for the soul of the murder, not so he can escape God's just punishment, but rather that the salvation provided by Jesus's sacrifice may also extend to this misguided soul; &
   We pray for the recovery of those two people in critical condition from being shot;   
   - We ask this through Christ, our Lord.  - Amen
