Consecration to the Holy Family
In line with the “Keep Christ in Christmas” theme, our council is promoting a period of greater devotion to the Holy Family. Members of the Holy Family behaved in ways that we should strive to duplicate. Culminating at the Feast of the Holy Family on December 30th, it is suggested that each of us spend a few minutes of each day reflecting on the actions of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Whether we are children, mothers or fathers we can all learn from the actions of the Holy Family. Possible activities include sharing of stories from the bible, reflecting on the day’s activities and whether your behaviour was like that of the Holy Family, going to confession, praying together as a family, and attending mass on The Feast of the Holy Family. A prayer card, with a prayer dedicated to the Consecration to the Holy Family, is available at the back of the church. This prayer is also available at the Knight’s website (below) and will be recited at the mass on December 30th. Adoration and confessions will be available following mass.
