NEW Safe Environment Training (replacing VIRTUS)

 

The Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston has implemented a new Safe Environment Program.  All who work and/or volunteer at any facility run the the Archdiocese is required to be up-to-date with this training.

The CMGConnect online training replaces the former Safe Environment Program (VIRTUS “Protecting God’s Children”) that was previously offered through our Archdiocese. Individuals are now required to complete all Safe Environment Training online.  For more information and to register for training, please click here.

Protocol, Meetings and Ceremonials

Knights of Columbus (KofC) protocol manual includes specific rules on how to conduct meetings and follow agendas including how to recognize clergy, dignitaries and the presiding officer.  lt also includes the format for how to conduct meetings and ceremonials of the Order. 

4th Degree NEW Official Dress Uniform

The official dress for the Fourth Degree shall be:

Official Navy Blue Blazer with 4th Degree Emblem and Emblem buttons, Official Fourth Degree Dark Gray trousers , Official Fourth Degree Necktie, Official Fourth Degree Black Beret with Fourth Degree metal badge worn over the left eye.  Rank/office patches will be handled by the Supreme Master Office.


NOT INCLUDED:  Plain White Dress Shirt, Black Socks, Plain Black Shoes, Official Fourth Degree Lapel Pin (#PG-113), Incumbent Medal of Office, Past and Former Miniature Medals above left pocket, Sword, Baldrick or gloves.

After June 30, 2019, the former 4th degree regalia will be retired and will no longer be used at official KofC functions.

 

Building the Domestic Church While Strengthening Our Parish

Help strengthen the domestic church (our families) by providing exceptional religious education materials to all Catholics. Building the Domestic Church Kiosks contain engaging, faith-based literature and are available for councils to distribute to members, parishioners, and the general public.
