Brothers, as the Christmas season closes and a new year is upon us, I wish to reflect as we often do over the past year. Tempus Fugit, Memento Mori, the words we all heard during our initiation certainly apply. We have had family and friends pass, but we have also had personal successes. I pray that, most importantly, you count your spiritual journey as being on a path of success, a path that Christ leads us.
Our Star Council recognition is an outward sign of the good works that we do, yet so much more that goes unnoticed. Soon, a summary report will be completed, highlighting all that we have done. They say, “It takes a village,” and that certainly rings true for our council. We cannot carry out the mission of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism without the prayers and efforts of every Knight in our council. May everyone continue to receive God’s blessings throughout the year to come.
Vivat Jesus

Save the date, St Patricks Day Dinner: March 14

One of the more touching moments of his priesthood came in January 1881, when he offered a Requiem Mass for a woman he had visited often during her illness. In his eulogy, Father McGivney said the woman was one of the purest souls he had ever known and that he hoped to be as well prepared for death as she was when his time came.
His expression of heartfelt sentiments for the deceased along with a gentle warning to all about the need to prepare for death was typical of this strong, compassionate priest. In this new year, we do well to take his words to heart. Toward this end, in our 2026 monthly emails, we will explore the virtuous character of Father McGivney and seek to draw closer to him in prayer and action.

Consider bringing someone you know who is not a Knight and have them experience the good works that we do as a way to inspire them to join us.
Life... The Other Choice.
The decision to continue or end a pregnancy has never been a choice of political parties or action groups. It is and has always been a choice of the woman. Choices characterize who we are and what we will become. They are rooted in hopes and worries, and even force us to face our fears and stand against greater odds.
