Welcome to the Knights of Columbus, Father Conan Mitchell, OFM, Council #832 website. We are located in Ashland, Wisconsin, on the shores of beautiful Chequamegon Bay, Lake Superior. On this site, you will find news and information about us. Please take a moment to visit the online calendar for upcoming events and our news page for featured articles.
The Father Conan Mitchell, OFM, Council was chartered on December 20, 1903, as Ashland Council #832 of the Knights of Columbus, and is dedicated to the ideals of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. On Columbus Day in 2009, Council #832 was renamed after our beloved Father Conan Mitchell, OFM, an Ashland native and Franciscan Friar for more than 60 years, who passed away on March 13, 2009. Father Conan was a parish priest who lived the ideals of Father Michael J. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus. View the "ABOUT OUR COUNCIL" page for more information about the founding of our council and a biography of Father Conan.
Members of Council 832 are primarily members of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Community in Ashland. However, we also have members from several other area parishes, including St. Mary's of Odanah, Sts. Peter & Paul of Moquah, and St. Anne's of Sanborn. This website was created to provide information about the Ashland Council, its members and activities, the Knights of Columbus in general. Please enjoy your time on our site, come back often, and may God Bless!
