Council Headlines

Congratulations to New Knights,
Patrick Tiessonniere, Sam Grannis, Didier Nformi and Reginald Mbiydzengeh
Let us welcome four new men who recently joined the Knights of Columbus.
Patrick Tiessonniere, whom we met during our 2025 Yard Sale, joined online and then viewed the Combined Exemplification on the Supreme Council's website on June 27.  Sam Grannis, who was fully initiated into the Catholic Faith during the Easter Vigil on April 4, joined on-line on June 12 and then viewed the Combined Exemplification on June 15.  Sam has a zeal for our Catholic Faith and wanted to put that love of the Church into action by helping out with activities in July.
The Catholic Diocese of Arlington Seminarians, Didier Nformi and Reginal Mbiydzengeh, whom we support, both joined online and then attended the June 3 Combined Exemplification held in the Chapel.  They just completed their first year of studies at the Mount Saint Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland and are from the same Diocese of Kumbo, Cameroon, as Father John.
For their summer assignments, Didier will be working at Saint Leo Parish in Fairfax City and Reginald will be assisting at Blessed Sacrament Parish over in Alexandria.  Please continue to keep both in your prayers as well as all Seminarians, especially those seven (7) who were ordained by Bishop Burbidge, on June 6 at the Cathedral of Saint Thomas Moore, including Eric McDade, who was assigned to our Seton Lake Parish a few summers ago.
Father John presided over the Exemplification and was our Honoree, cited for his respect for all, his reverence for the Eucharist and the virtue of Piety, a gift from the Holy Spirit, on display during Mass especially while praying Eucharistic Prayer No. 1.
Shown here, left to right, are Didier, Father John and Reginald. Congratulations to all and thank you!

Congratulations to New Officers
We congratulate our new slate of officers for Fraternal Year 2026-2027, who were elected during the June 3 meeting.  The installation ceremony was held on Sunday June 28 at 5:15 p.m. following our year end awards dinner which began at 4:00 p.m., all in Fellowship Hall.  We thank all officers for agreeing to be part of the leadership team for our Council.  Our new Fraternal Year started on July 1 at which time, their term became effective.  Congratulations.

Thank you - The Cleaning of Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Wall, Sat, June 20

We thank PGK, PFN Phil Kennedy for once again organizing this Event through the National Park Service and the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial Fund.  Joining Phil (a Veteran) on Saturday were our State Deputy Trey Hall, Ralph Tuccillo (a Veteran) PGK Paul Zerkow (a Veteran), PGK Kevin Tamai, and GK Joe Pevarnik.  We were joined by members of the Monsignor Francis Bradicana Assembly 2996 in Burke, Virginia.  Separately, there were two other groups, Xavier Catholic High School in New York City and a Boy Scout Troop from Dale City, who assisted as well.

Shown here are PGK Kevin Tamai, Ralph Tuccillo, PGK Paul Zerkow and State Deputy Trey Hall

Thank you - 2nd Saturday Rosary, June 13

There were 14 of us who showed up on Saturday, June 13, following the 9:00 a.m. Mass to pray the Rosary for the Unborn.  We thank Luis Ferrufino, Jim Gibson, John Maher and GK Joe Pevarnik who showed up.

Thank you - KOVAR Phase 2 at the Safeway at the Glens, Saturday, June 6

We thank Eric Link, Ralph Tuccillo, Scott Smid, Les Krogh, PGK Ted Zagrobeny, Peter Spear, Rick Armstrong and PGK Bryan Cannon, who led this Event, for signing up for Phase 2.  Although we only had coverage for three consecutive hours, (10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.) $225 was raised.  That amount, combined with the $1,660 that was taken in during the April 11-12 Collections after all Masses, brings the total to $1,885 raised for KOVAR this fraternal year.  Separately, our Council donated $296 to the KOVAR Enduring Love Campaign, which is the banking business side of KOVAR that provides interest-free loans to non-profit organizations seeking to purchase homes to be used by individuals with intellectual disabilities.
