Thank you - Super Bowl Hoagie Sales, Feb 7-8 

The Hoagie Sales over the Super Bowl weekend, led by PGK George Clark, was very successful.  We had over 35 Brothers participating in the Assembly Line and the subsequent selling after all Masses. All 741 Hoagies sold, last being after the 12:30 Mass.   

This could not have happened without the help from the following Brothers (and I am sorry, if I left you out, so please let me know)  who have of their time:  DGK Steve Amato, Bob Anastasio, Nate Armstrong, Rick Armstrong, Vic Bako, Jason Boffetti, Greg Byrum, PGK Bryan Cannon, PGK Jeff Carrera, PGK George Clark, Terry DePetro, Brad Engborg, Jim Gibson, Dwayne Griese, Hocine Hadj-Ali, Frank Jozsa, Les Krogh, John Loftus, Andrew McGrail, Daniel McGrail, PGK Rich Miserendino, Al Nessel, GK Joe Pevarnik, John Puglisi, Michael Rotchford, PGK Richard Roy, Tom Shank, Chuck Short, Mike Stempa, Ralph Tuccillo, Sean Ward, Clyde Watts, Chriss Yoder, PGK Ted Zagrobelny and PGK Paul Zerkow.  A special thanks to Tom Shank, for driving up to the District to pick-up up the meats and again to PGK George Clark for again, leading this Event. 

The profit was $1,844.16 based on the following:

Funds Collected of $4,913.52 (Consisting of $3,204.05 in Cash; $48.00 in checks and $1,661.47 in Credit Card charges)

Less Expenses of $3,068,84 (Cconsisting of $2,100 from the Deli; $74.40 from the Bakery; $400 for the Cash Box; $166.94 for the lettuce, olive oil and wrapper papers and $27.50 from Giant for the 39 extra Hoagie Rolls as the Deli provided 741 set-ups, 39 more than ordered.  PGK George Clark went back to the deli to offer compensation back to them, but they said "NO" we appreciate your honesty.   

Thank you - Snow Shoveling - February 11

Special thanks to the family of Brother Mark Vivian (mom Cynthia and brother Adam) along with Brother Knights, Joey Costello, DGK Steve Amato, PGK Ted Zagrobelny and GK Joe Pevarnik who shoveled the driveway and walks at the home of  Lyn Hollis, the widow of Brother Roy Hollis (d 2009).   

Thank you - Pancake & Sausage Breakfast - January 18

Our January 18 pancake and sausage breakfast held in Fellowship Hall was a very big success with 232 people being served.  The intake of $1,402 in cash and credit card charges, including donations, less the expenses of $523.04 yielded a profit of $878.96.

Thank you - Blood Drive - January 10

We thank all of you Brother Knights, your families, our fellow Seton Lake Ridge Parishioners, and those from area churches and in Lake Ridge area who donated blood this past Saturday, January 10^th at the KofC 8183 INOVA  Blood Donor Services Blood Drive held over at Saint Matthew's Lutheran Church.  Despite the 15 no-shows and the 10 cancelations (we understand, this is flu season) and thanks to the 12 walk-ins, a quantity of 66 units of blood were collected.

The next blood drive will take place on Saturday, March 14 in upper Seton Hall, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with 43 of the 105 time slots still available. The link to the sign-up through INOVA, is here: https://www.inovabloodsaves.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/33312

Special thanks to PGK Kevin Tamai, who organizes these Blood Drives, not only here at Seton Lake Ridge, but coordinates with the other two participating churches, Saint Matthew's and the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay Saints, both in Lake Ridge. In addition, we thank Brother Clyde Watts, who is there each and every time to assist in the set-ups and tear downs.
