NEWS . . .

On March 21st, several of our Past Grand Knights met in Caucus to nominate a slate of proposed Council Officers for the upcoming 2026-2027 Fraternal Year.

The PGK’s want to acknowledge and recognize our current Officers, some whom have served for several years.  Their/your commitment and diligence have added immensely to our Council’s culture and vitality.  Some are being asked to continue serving in the same or similar role, while some are being invited to seek new roles of service.  “Thank You!” to all.

To provide some insight to the nominating process, the PGK’s broadly use two criteria:

  1. The measure of the ability of a Brother Knight to be competent in a given Officer role. Is the Candidate active in our Council, available to fill the role, and willing to be an Officer?
  2. The expectation, with experience and time, to potentially/eventually move up to Grand Knight. It is important that our GK has exposure to as many of the Offices as possible so as to be the most effective leader.

Our Officer roster evolves over time; everyone interested should have a shot at serving our Council.  Many, many names came up for consideration.  Ultimately the slate had to be narrowed.  It is a blessing and pleasure to have so many men where such a discussion is even possible!

The election will be held at the Business Meeting on Thu Jun 11.
