St. Monica Council 5656 KofC scholarship program
The St. Monica Council 5656 Knights of Columbus has established a scholarship program to promote Catholic identity and community service in line with the Knights of Columbus’ principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism.
The Council will award scholarships in the following categories:
  • St Monica School (Attend St. Monica School)
  • High School (Attend a Catholic High School in the Diocese of Dallas)
  • College (Attend a community college, technical or trade school, college or university in the United States)
For the 2023-2024 academic year, the minimum award amount will be:
  • St. Monica School - $500
  • High School - $500
  • College - $1,000
Each award is a one-time grant and previous award winners may apply in subsequent years.  Applications will be awarded points by the Scholarship Committee based on the student’s academic achievement, community service, and activity in the St. Monica parish.  Students with a relative in Council 5656 will receive priority.  The top point earners in each scholarship category will receive the scholarship award.
The number of awards per category will be based on the budget determined by the Scholarship Committee. The results of the Scholarship Committee are final, and applications will not be returned to the applicant. Applications are due by Friday, April 5th by 11:59 p.m. Central Time.
