Present Donation to Justice Center

Colin Peterson (left) from Joseph M. Ros Sr. Council 3067 recently donated a Council check for $500 to Director Jim Dumm of Tara Hall Home for Boys toward their operations located in the Rose Hill section of Georgetown County. Garvey Winans, Council Community Director, indicated that this contribution was made possible from the knights annual bar bq fundraiser. Tara Hall, located on 11 acres in the Rose Hill section of Georgetown County on beautiful Black Mingo Creek, was founded by Father Owen O'Sullivan in 1970 near the current location; and it is a home and a school for boys who for lots of reason need a place to live and to grow. The average length of stay is a little over 2-years. Tara Hall currently houses 16 boys from age 8 to 15 years old and it has cared for over 600 boys over the years.
