Council 13290 donated over 3,000 containers to the Rescue Mission during the COVID pandemic in order to help feed the homeless and less fortunate members of our community.

Our Adopt-A-Resident gifts ready for delivery! Two adults from the Recovery Program and a young girl from Faith House will have a happier Christmas this year.

Thanks to Marty Nau for delivering Christmas gifts on behalf of our council for the Adopt-a-Resident Program at the Rescue Mission.

Our council delivers 4 dozen donuts once a month to the Frederick Rescue Mission for the resident’s fellowship before their 8:00 AM chapel.

Our Knights leave no neighbor behind during a pandemic by helping a veteran in need with furniture, linens, food and appliances.

Our Council supports Family Partnership, an organization that empowers families with skills needed to meet basic needs and successfully navigate life's challenges.

March for Life Dinner provided to marchers on 1/21/22.

Another successful ARCH home school picnic on 9/18/22. 72 hamburgers and 72 hotdogs to serve 77 home schoolers and their families.

9/25/22 - Painted 40 crosses and placed them alongside route 75 in front of the church to support 40 Days for Life.

DONATIONS FOR COUNCIL OUTREACH PROGRAMS

 

We would like to thank everyone for their generous donations to fund our programs and support our community.  This could not have been possible without all of you.  There is no greater testament of putting our faith into action and doing what we can to leave no neighbor behind. 

 

  • Box of Sox Program - Socks are the #1 most requested and least donated clothing item for those in need.  Our council is on a mission to distribute socks to the homeless and other community members in critical need.  We started this program in 2022 and collected over 2,100 pairs of socks that first year.  The following year, we distributed over 3,000 pairs of socks to Family Partnership, Frederick County Public Schools, Rescue Mission, and homeless shelters.

 

  • Sleep in Heavenly Peace -  In 2021, our council started supporting this community program because "No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in our Town".  SHP is an all-volunteer effort.  In the last 3 years, SHP chapters nationally have put over 64,000 children in beds.  Since January 2019, the Frederick chapter has served 1,662 families and delivered 3,000 beds thus far, lifting another child off the floor and into a bed of their own.

We have several major outreach programs under our Council's Helping Hands program.

 

1.  Firehouse Subs for First Responders (Over $2,000 donated since 2020) to recognize our police officers, firefighters, healthcare workers and other front line workers who support our community.

2.  Coats for Kids initiative (Over $17,000 raised in 2025 / 2026) and hundreds of coats were distributed.

3.  Adopt-a-Resident Program (Over $2,500 donated in 2023) to help those in need at the Frederick Rescue Mission.
