26TH ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT - SEPTEMBER 24, 2025
CAROLINA NATIONAL GOLF CLUB
Who We Are
We as members of the Sacred Heart Council focus on developing programs that best serve the needs of our local community. All the good works are driven by our four core principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. We are a band of brothers, more than 240 strong, doing good in the service of God, our parish, and our neighbors. If interested in joining, or finding out more information, please contact Rick Morschauser at ram3279@aol.com.
Fourth Degree Corner
There are four degrees of membership in the Knights. The first three degrees represent the values of Charity, Unity, and Fraternity. The Fourth Degree is dedicated to the virtue of Patriotism, fostering that spirit in all members and the community at large. The Fourth Degree is the one most familiar to the public, identified by distinctive regalia and their participation in color corps and honor guards. They work tirelessly in their outreach to our nation's military - active, infirmed, or retired. The Fourth Degree is a position of prestige and something for which all Knights should strive.

Knights of Columbus Award Scholarships
The Sacred Heart Knights of Columbus, Council #12537, award scholarships at the end of the school year to Brunswick County High School Seniors. This year the Knights are pleased to announce that Samuel Weaver, Connor Walls, Gannon Herring, Hayden Delair, and Addison Baldwin, all from South Brunswick High School, were the scholarship recipients. The scholarships are to further their education at an accredited two or four-year institution or in a certified vocational program. The scholarships were awarded after their applications were reviewed and interviews were conducted. The candidates were evaluated based upon financial need, community involvement, academic achievement, school active, and their interviews.
Also, a new scholarship is offered this year by an individual Knight - The Baronowski Family STEM Scholarship. It is open to female high school seniors who intend to pursue a degree in one of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) disciplines. This year Emily Lynn Teets was the recipient of this scholarship. Emily graduated from North Brunswick HS and will be attending East Carolina University.
NEW ASSEMBLY MEETING TIME
Please note, starting with the January meeting, the Fourth Degree Assembly meeting time and date has changed. The meeting will now be held on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:00 PM (just prior to the Council meeting).
