From the inception of Camp Shriver in the 1960s, the Knights of Columbus have maintained a distinctive partnership with the Special Olympics, aiding disabled athletes in training and competing globally. The Knights have supported every facet of the program, from fundraising to nourishing the athletes, coordinating and judging events, to providing equipment and awards. The participants' ability to train and compete in cherished events hinges on the Knights' support.
In the most recent Polar Plunge, the Virginia Knights exceeded $1,000,000 in fundraising since 2013, a milestone unmatched by any other organization or sponsor. Our commitment is steadfast to support our family members and Virginia neighbors with intellectual disabilities, advocating for their inclusion in all areas of life.
Your generous donation today is greatly appreciated in supporting the Inclusion Revolution.

Message from Worthy Grand Knight (7/20/2024)
Hello Worthy Brother Knights,
I'm pleased to be serving as your Grand Knight for this Fraternal Year. I know we'll be successful and enjoy our time together! Our next event is the Outdoor Rosary Saturday, June 27th at 4:30 in front of (or in) the church weather permitting. We'll need five knights to set up for that at 4:00. Then, Saturday (7/27) and Sunday (7/28) after all masses we'll be performing Blue Bag Distribution for the St. Matthew food pantry. We'll need three Knights per mass for that. Please let me know if you can attend or support either of those events or if you have any questions.

God bless everyone!
Vivat Jesus,
Mike

Work Camp (Youth Ministry) Support - Making Sandwiches (June 26th, 2024)
Worthy Brothers,
Our parish has been asked to help make sandwiches (PB&J or cheese) for the teens and volunteers. St Matthew's will need to make over 150 sandwiches to support the event. I'm looking for Brother Knights to support our parish's efforts. Volunteer information is as follows:
Date: Wednesday, 26 June
Time: 9-12am
Location: St Matthew's Parish Center
Contact the parish office if you're able to help
Please pray for the teens and all participants in the event. This can be a life changing event for the teens and adult volunteers, so prayers are critically important. Work Camp is from 22-28 June.

Bishop Keating Council Lenten Fish Fry and Soup Supper (February 16th, 2024)
Thank You for all of our Brother Knights who volunteered for our Lenten Fish Fry to "kick-off" the Lenten Season.
It was a very successful event serving our parish, engaging in fellowship, building fraternal relationships, and
closing the night in prayer at Stations of the Cross and Mass.
