COATS FOR KIDS PROJECT STILL  ACCEPTING MONETARY DONATIONS

Prices have increased slightly but the need has not declined.   Last year we sponsored 216 coats for kids, from toddlers to teens. Operation Bootstrap handles distribution to needy families.    Please help us fund this community program that helps the kids.    Any donation is welcome.  The case of coats is $145 and for teens $175    Supreme helps fund this with buy one get one case. And price shown is almost half off.   Stevens Point has been volunteered this year as one of two distribution points - we will need about 8-10 bodies to help unload/sort when the shipment arrives.  If you can help, let John Schlice know -    process has changed and to get the coats to Stevens Point this year we needed to volunteer to be a distributor – 12 cases of coats take a lot of vehicles, so being a distributor will require less travel for us . Monetary donations are used to purchase the coats. Checks can be made out to KC Council 1170. Put Coats for Kids in the memo section and mail to KC Council 1170, 401 West Clark Street,  Stevens Point WI 54481

CHRISTMAS BASKET PROJECT UNDERWAY - DONATIONS ACCEPTED NOW

KC Council 1170 is, once again, participating in our Christmas Basket Program in partnership with Operation Bootstrap. Our goal is to provide persons and families in need with a food basket for the Christmas season. The average value of the basket is about $125. If you want to support this program we are accepting both money and food donations. Food donations can be brought to the KC Council 1170 Clubhouse at 401 West Clark Street Stevens Point at our meeting night, which is the third Thursday of the month, or by contacting chairmen Jeff Slowinski or Bob Ostrowski.
