Arnell V. Gregorski passed away Saturday September 23, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Arnell was born on August 22, 1952 in Waukegan Illinois the son of Casimir and Valerie Gregorski. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the University of Illinois, and was the Chief Plan Examiner and Building Inspector for the city of Highland Park, until his retirement on September 1, 2017.
On November 18, 1989 Arnell married the love of his life and best friend Amy (Huffman), and they have two sons, the light of their lives, Andrew and Alan. He is survived by one sister, Della of Chicago, two brothers; Conne of Manitowac, Wisconsin, and Mitchell (Trish) of Grayslake, one niece, and many cousins.
Arnell's lifelong passion was his involvement in every aspect of being in the Boy Scouts of America, and he will be profoundly missed by the entire Scouting Community. From his entry into scouting fifty-eight years ago, earning the rank of Eagle Scout with three Silver Palms, he held numerous leadership positions and earned many awards including the Silver Beaver and the St.George Award. He was also an Vigil member of the Order of the Arrow, serving as the leader of Lodge 40 for three years, and Vigil Advisor for thirty years. Arnell also achieved the Fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus, and was forever a fisherman in heart and soul.
