Martin Paul Johnson, 61, of Waukegan, IL passed away in Chicago, IL on July 14, 2017. Marty was born in Waukegan, IL, on August 26, 1955 to Ruth (Grohall) Johnson and Robert Johnson.
Marty worked as a Chemical Operator and in the Warehouse at EMCO Chemical for more than 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and bowling. He especially enjoyed his fishing trips to Canada. Marty was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Marty was also Third degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Waukegan Council 731. Marty is survived by his sister, Barbara (Johnson) Perz of Aloha, OR, brother, Stephen (Karen) Johnson of Kenosha, WI, step-mother Lois Johnson of Burlington, WI, stepbrothers Mike Lowery of Wasilla, AK, and Patrick Lowery of Watertown, WI. He is also survived by his aunts Alice Kennedy of Arlington, TX, and Pauline Wheeler of Lakeland, FL, several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Dan Perz and many aunts and uncles.
