Edward F. Miller(1941 - 2017) Miller, Edward F., 75, of Louisville died on July 21, 2017. He was born in Louisville , son of Edward F. and Dolores (Augustus) Miller. Ed was a graduate of Flaget High School and Bellarmine University. He is preceded in death by his wife, M. Carol Miller and his sister Evelyn (Miller) Kleitz. Ed is survived by his children Stephen , Jennifer (Pete ) Diegel, and Pam O'Loughlin (Brian); his grandchildren Morgan and Ryan Miller, Connor and Caroline O'Loughlin, and Emma Diegel; his brother James Miller and sister Mary (Miller) Willis; and many nieces and nephews. Ed was a twenty-year employee of Citizens Fidelity Bank (PNC Bank) where he served as Vice President Financial Services. Ed spent six years in London, Ky, where he served as Executive Vice President of Appalachian Computer Services (First Image Management Company). He spent the remainder of his career holding senior managerial positions in Louisville, Atlanta, and Plano, Texas before returning home to Louisville. Ed finished his career as a consultant. Ed was a devoted member of the Church of the Epiphany and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus. Ed was committed to community service and generously gave his time to St. Vincent dePaul Society, Backside Ministry, Dare to Care Mobile Food Pantry (Holy Name Church), Eastern Area Community Ministries, and Special Olympics. Ed was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Ed was an avid European traveler, enjoying the cultures and languages of all of the countries he visited. Visitation will be held at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road on Sunday, July 30 from 4-8 pm, and again on Monday, July 31 from 2-8 pm. There will be a praying of the Rosary on Monday evening at 6:30 pm during the visitation. The funeral mass will take place at the Church of the Epiphany on Tuesday, August 1 at 10 am. |
