Norfolk - Natalio A. Tibay, 83, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.

He was born on July 27, 1933, in Ilocos Norte, Manila, Philippines to the late Gervacio and Flora Tibay. On that day, there was a monsoon flood; therefore his registered birthdate is August 7, 1933.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years and retired as a Senior Chief. Following, he remained highly active in the community, volunteering with the Knights of Columbus, Pagasinan Association of Virginia and United Ilocano Association of Tidewater.

He is survived by his ever-loving devoted wife, Rosa (Maiquez) Tibay, his daughter Liza Tibay Bowcock and husband, Charles S. Bowcock, III and grandchildren, Nathan Edward Bowcock and Lauren Michelle Tibay Bowcock, and JackJack; his daughter, Eleanor Rose Tibay and husband, Chris Hite, and grandsons, Vincent Samuel Hite and Levi Christopher Hite; and daughter Natalie J. Tibay and grandchildren, Eric S. Witte, II and Nastassia R. Witte. Tragically, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Chase Bowcock.

Flowers may be sent to the funeral home where visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home & Crematory, 8464 Tidewater Drive, Norfolk, VA 23518. Donations can be made in memory of Natalio A. Tibay to the home parish of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 154 W. Government Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23503.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 154 W. Government Ave, Norfolk, VA 23503, the funeral procession will continue to Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby Street, Norfolk VA 23503, immediately followed by a reception at the Knights of Columbus, 211 W.
